I seem to be on a kick for poems about trees as of late, so here are a couple I like:
Trees by Joyce Kilmer
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is pressed
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are written by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
Lost by David Wagoner
Stand still. The trees ahead and bushes beside you
Are not lost. Wherever you are is called Here,
And you must treat it as a powerful stranger,
Must ask permission to know it and be known.
The forest breathes. Listen. It answers,
I have made this place around you.
If you leave it, you may come back again, saying Here.
No two trees are the same to Raven.
No two branches are the same to Wren.
If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you,
You are surely lost. Stand still. The forest knows
Where you are. You must let it find you.
Here are some quotes I like as well:
The trees are God's great alphabet:
With them He writes in shining green
Across the world His thoughts serene.
~Leonora Speyer
I never saw a discontented tree. They grip the ground as though they liked it, and though fast rooted they travel about as far as we do. They go wandering forth in all directions with every wind, going and coming like ourselves, traveling with us around the sun two million miles a day, and through space heaven knows how fast and far! ~John Muir
A seed hidden in the heart of an apple is an orchard invisible. ~Welsh Proverb

Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished. ~Lao Tzu
Nature is my medicine. ~Sara Moss-Wolfe
Sunshine has no budget, the sea no red tape. ~Jareb Teague
I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order. ~John Burroughs
The world is mud-luscious and puddle-wonderful. ~e.e. cummings
Nature is the art of God. ~Thomas Browne, Religio Medici, 1635
