Love this idea! How about with a canvas texture.

Other suggestions:
1. A grungy looking paper with the gold, red, and green blended together and kinda messy.
2. Blue background with yellow dots.
3. Red with a brown grungy edge.

Beautiful, Robyn. Here's another idea and I hope I can explain it...

How about a paper that "matches" the composition of the green one. In the same way that the bottom right corner is blended into a picture you could do the gold paper with the bottom left blended into some similar but different yellow and orange flowers. Or maybe the top left corner blending into a cloudy sky picture.

Ok, the clouds seemed to be a popular theme..This one started out cloudy, but was a bit too fantasy for the papers we have already so tried to age it and grunge it a bit. I kinda think it looks more 'painterly' now but still with a cloudy feel.

We need some flowers similar to those on the green paper - one of each colour - you could either create them as separate elements or as a collection tied with a brown ribbon.

As for the frame, I think it should be landscape orientation with 3 vertical openings. For texture/look - a wooden frame painted white and aged with paint peeling and cracked.

Love what you've done so far! I like that you made the paper wrinkled.
How about a wrinkled paper frame to match.

A stamped border, maybe incorporating a paisley shape, but I'm not sure about that.

I'd love a wire element... a piece of wire with a few twists and loops that spans most of the width of the page. Or a wire twisted into a paisley shape or flower shape.

Get all the rest you need. How was the birthday celebration?

Kyan really enjoyed being the centre of attention. Kyan wanted McDonalds for dinner instead of pancakes like he originally asked for so McDonalds it was, and my Brother, SIL & Niece came over to help celebrate. And we had Birthday cake for desert. I have photos so will have to do a layout as soon as I get a chance. We take parties in turn at our house so Kyan didn't get a party (with friends) this year, but he will get one next year.

He got roller skates (the kind that go over your shoes) as one of his birthday presents which seem to be the biggest hit and he has been wearing them around the house so I called him skaterboy the other day and he tells me that he is not a skaterboy he is 4 boy. (because he is 4 years old now! ROFL) He is also apparently still a birthday boy because he still has cake! he he

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Feeling crook again today, so I may leave work early if it keeps up. I am in the process of reducing my prednisone dosage and my body doesn't like it much! My neck is currently all swollen and it is starting to interfere with my breathing! :yikes: Just call me blowfish!

It was lots of fun and he has been in the BEST mood the last few days. He is settling into his new preschool class at daycare really well now and has been in the best mood lately. I think he really needed to move up and learn more stuff. They teach lots of new things there which is great.

I did manage to do some work on an element last night, but I take forever digitally painting flowers so not finished yet. That chain is beautiful. What about some type of word art. Don't really know what words right now, but that seems to be what it needs.

How about this?

Love the WA, Robyn! One more item, is that correct? How about a circular WA date stamp, with the words from the remember WA (this day, this moment, this story, this life), or at least some of those words going around the outside of the circle- and lines in the middle to fill in the date.

How about a frayed piece of ribbon(s) held in place by one of those jewels like a broach?

This is just a gorgeous kit! I love this idea, but maybe the ribbon can be a short tag for journaling or a date?

Love the word art. I think the date stamp and the ribbon journaling strip are both great ideas.

Sleep well Robyn and THANKS - I love random winner! 200 is fine for me and I even feel a little guilty because I haven't played much this time - the new baby kinda put a stop to lots of play!
