View Full Version : Taking March off - but only sort of!

Well, campers, I have a lot to do in March in my non-scrapping life: I have procrastinated enough but I absolutely have to pack my house for a move this summer. I have tried and tried but couldn't stop designing long enough to work on it, Sooooooooo.... I finally had to take a lot of time off from both jobs so that I can focus on it. I have family coming to help with it a bit.
What this means is - with the bosses' permission I have worked ahead on my DSP required assignments so that I had them done early. I have loaned out my bingo chats to the lovely hosteses Melissa and Jennifer G. And I probably am not doing any BOGO challenges in March, as I will only be putting in a few products. But I'll make that decision later, who knows.
I WILL be available by pm or email, as always. I will have bingo prizes for Jennifer and Melissa to award.
And I would HATE giving everything up altogether - I mean WHAT on earth would I possibly do at the end of the day when I'm too exhausted to take one more frame off the wall? Well, scrap or design of course!
With that in mind I am going to continue the DeZign with Z challenges during March - I am enjoying that so much, and it will keep me in tune and in touch with you all for March. Perish the thought of no contact - yikes! Oh! And Suzanne and I are planning a Prompts & Props for this month - forum only challenge, no chat - but a chance to get two freebies - so watch for that!
My absence may go seamlessly - since I'm still around somewhat, but I did just want to mention it to you all, just in case you pop me a pm or a question and I don't answer for a couple of days. I'm not ignoring you - but I really might not sit down to the computer every single day this month. (ah, who am I kidding!? Well, I'm going to try not to!)
If all goes well I'll be back at the keyboard as regular in April - but for the moment - my sister is going to be here in a few days and I haven't even gotten the guest room looking anywhere near like a body can be comfortable in it! So I best get to it!

Hey, Z ... sounds like you have a great plan! Thanks for doing all the work to stay ahead for March, and keep us all in your designs! And a special thanks for communicating to us so well about what is up and coming!
Good luck with the packing and other things that you need to get done. Packing ranks right at the bottom of my list of things I really don't like to do. Usually moves are a good thing, so hopefully that is the case with your upcoming move, and that will give you something to look forward to!

Well, hope the job goes smoothly! Moving is on my 'Most Dreaded Chores' list, so I don't envy you in the least! And we will probably miss you more as you disconnect that computer for the actual move! Enjoy if you can!

Good luck with it all Z! I don't know how I am going to fit moving in when our house has finished. I have decided to postphone my easter holidays to whenever the house is ready to move into as I just don't think it is going to happen otherwise!!

Ugghhh, Z, every time I move I swear I'm not ever gonna do it again. I've threatened to just walk away and light a match instead! So I understand your dread! Good luck, and I'm glad you'll still get to play with us with DeZign with Z. It should help keep you sane lol!

Moving.......ICK......Definitely not something I enjoy either. You should talk to Jenni - she had something like 2 weeks to find a new house, and pack up the old. That lady is too darned organized. It would take me longer than that to clean out the basement.
Good luck with everything Z!!!!

Sorry for the hassle of packing and moving, Z.
With family coming to help, I hope it will go smoothly.
We'll be here waiting, never fear.

I also don't envy you at all with the packing right now! We got a new home last summer and it wasn't pleasant, that's for sure, but we did throw out a lot in the process!
I like Caro's idea. I think I'd be pretty happy with my camera and computer, but then I guess my DH and kids wouldn't. Oh well, it is a wonderful thought!
And thanks for letting me help with Bingo! :)

I do not envy you this task, Z; but hope it goes well for you.
You're so wonderfully organized and thoughtful to have designed ahead! :D
We're going to be moving in a year or so, and DH really should have started 15 months ago on his NIGHTMARE of a garage! The house? Forgeddaboutit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Uh, that's what I'm facing too! We have been in this house 12 years and don't "purge" well. Um, or, at all. Unfortunately, my husband likes to organize the garage. A Lot. Which basically means he tries to see how well he can pack it together and free up space. This, however, does not create me a staging area to pull out and get rid of stuff, it only means I can't get TO the stuff. NO amount of "don't touch my stuff" works, even though it has extracted a promise to do so. And you don't even want to know about the nightmare of a closet. Although I do have photographic evidence, and might find it amusing some day.
Which is why my sister was here over Thanksgiving and New Year's, and she will be here again. Ah, to have logical thinking about.... I love it!
After the move I finally get to meet my sister's granddaughter, (my great niece), and can't wait! The baby is growing up so fast; she is already almost six months old!!!! My daughter can't wait to see her in person either. I hope they will be fast friends.
