Photography Challenge -Pet Portrait - 3/17 March

Our challenge this time round is to take a pet portrait, it may be your pet or someone elses, any type of animal/mammal as long as it is a pet.

You could try taking a close up of the face or a full body shot, take a shot in its surroundings, as with a people portrait try and be creative and look for something that gives your shot impact :)

Ok I have plenty of pictures of my two dogs as they are my main subject around here because no one else wants there picture taken:think: and would love to join this challenge. Do we just enter the picture or do a page. This is my first photography challenge.

Question: Does the photo just have to be "pure" (ie. no PS effects or filters, etc)? Or can we be creative in its presentation?

Hi Ted, it can be as 'pure' or as creative as you want it to be :)
I for one edit everything that comes out of my camera, so have no 'pure' photos lol

Ted, I feel the same way and I have kids to take pictures o, they just don't want to be in the pictures, especially my step daughter who ducks every picture I try to take of her almost. So my dogs are my subjects, they know how to sit and pose. :rofl:

To answer your questions yes you can have the two dogs in the same photo and you can also have people in the same photo as well but the emphasis should be on the pet so if your 'human' is too significant in the frame then it takes it from being a pet portrait to and photo of a man and his dog if you see what I mean :)
