I got a little help from Kuler to pull these colors (my first swatch didn't look so good). Of course there are lots of choices that we didn't pull!

I just love this one so much! This is it! Let's go :D

JenniferG
03-09-2009, 06:21 PM
Light grey background with ladybugs all over it in various sizes, or all one size, whichever you prefer!

JenniferG
03-09-2009, 06:22 PM
And a dark green background with light green leaves, either by themselves or in a pattern or vice versa.

idtwinmom
03-09-2009, 06:22 PM
Well, I don't know if it belongs on a BG, but those ladybugs just have to go into it! I like the idea of a background with that vine on it! One stripe down a side would be perfect!

mcbowersox
03-09-2009, 07:41 PM
I'd love a stripe (of course) or a plaid in those colors!

handkl
03-09-2009, 07:55 PM
I'd love a stripe (of course) or a plaid in those colors!

I'll second both of these suggestions.

I also like the idea of a green background with a vine along the edge of one side of the paper...or we could have a vine element (or overlay) and leave the green with a canvas texture.

LinJ
03-09-2009, 08:07 PM
Love all the color themes.... need to figure out how to do that !

MurlieMac

I agree, I think a plaid would be great

Ooooh, I love it, Tina! And definitely, ladybugs!

Leea
03-10-2009, 06:53 AM
little red rosebuds with green leaves scattered over the white background
red and black polka dots

Leea
03-10-2009, 06:56 AM
the two greens on one background...maybe one in an embossed pattern, like swirls embossed in dark green over the light green or light green swirls over dark green bg? two tone green stripes?
The plaid sounds great too :)

pinky7
03-10-2009, 10:31 AM
A graph paper using the two greens!

Tina
03-10-2009, 01:05 PM
Ok, I did a plaid, but went w/ just the red, so it didn't look too, too Christmasy.

idtwinmom
03-10-2009, 01:17 PM
Wow - love that texture!

I still think that vine pattern or similar down one side of the paper, since you used the red for this one, how about the dark green on the light green!

JenniferG
03-10-2009, 01:18 PM
Looks great Tina! Reminds me of a picnic...maybe a picnic kit would be cool!

How about a grassy background? Or a leafy one? With the two greens?

stitchmich
03-10-2009, 01:34 PM
I like the bottom edge of the comorter with the two colors of leaves and occasional flowers. Is that what Lisa is asking for along one side of the paper? If so, I second that motion :D

idtwinmom
03-10-2009, 01:51 PM
Yes, that or similar (I know she doesn't like to duplicate the photo!)

Raphne
03-10-2009, 02:08 PM
I agree, looks like a picnic! Or maybe an italian restraunt. . .

I'd like to see the light color, with scattered leaves in the green and lots of little ladybugs cavorting all over-- some with wings open, some with wings shut, some from the side, some from the top, etc. And a few flowers thrown in

MurlieMac
03-10-2009, 02:23 PM
a light grey BG with lite green and the darker green leafy swirls and little red flowers and/or ladybugs

handkl
03-10-2009, 03:10 PM
Love that background Tina!

How about a grey background with a cluster of leaves and a few ladybugs in the bottom right corner?

shawsi
03-10-2009, 03:33 PM
little red rosebuds with green leaves scattered over the white background
red and black polka dots

I love this idea. I this it would be darling with very small black polka dots and the pretty roses and leaves...kind of folk artish or Mary Englebreitish.

Leea
03-10-2009, 04:01 PM
I like shawsi's idea of adding small black polka dots with red roses or rosebuds :)

Awesome Tina!

HOw about a black background with red dots, with red light scratches, or maybe the grey instead of red, and grunged up around the sides? Like a backwards pattern on the ladybugs. Or vice versa.

Raphne
03-10-2009, 05:31 PM
Ladybugs Ladybugs Ladybugs Ladybugs
:rofl::rofl::rofl:

How about a black background, densely packed with tiny dots in the other colors, and maybe a few leaves & flowers. . . oh, and maybe even some ladybugs!

idtwinmom

Awesome Tina! And yes - now I will vote for lady bugs and maybe some ants!

honeymoon
03-10-2009, 05:50 PM
I can just imagine that this cover is all quilted, so how about a white paper, stitched with white stitching. Could just be diagonal stitching both ways or more elaborate like it was quilted.

stitchmich
03-10-2009, 05:57 PM
oh that green one is perfect!! I like the idea of black with tiny dots that has already been said.

Tina
03-10-2009, 07:42 PM
here's the dotted paper, and I know the first element suggestion will be a ladybug, so I threw her in there too. lol. 1 more background... OR we could skip to elements, up to you all. Kinda think this needs a solid paper tho.

Raphne
03-10-2009, 08:05 PM
lol as much as I want my ladybug paper (AOP? BP?) I have to agree with you, Tina. I like the quilted white on white idea.

stitchmich
03-10-2009, 08:15 PM
I think it needs a light colored paper. I like the quilted idea too, either in the beige or light green with beige stitching.

MurlieMac
03-10-2009, 08:19 PM
Great papers so far. But I do agree, that a solid one is needed.

Then for elements how about a frame like the back of the lady bug.

Donut
03-10-2009, 09:44 PM
I love this! What about a scolloped edged journaling mat in the pale beige colour, in the flower shape but scolloped around the edge with bits punched out?
(Ok so that's clear as mud, but get inside my head and you will see it too! lol!)

JenniferG
03-10-2009, 10:17 PM
That ladybug is adorable! Can we have a flower like it?

how do you mean? Spotted and glassy?

Tina
03-10-2009, 10:58 PM
tried the white, but it really washed out the whole set of papers. The red added POP.

I made a frame. Someone suggested it somewhere. lol.

Wow! Gone for just a couple of hours and look what you have done! Love that ladybug!

How about some ants to go with her! And you've got to do a flower for the ladybug to sit on! Maybe with just one leaf on the stem, because she would really be sitting under the flower on the leaf wouldn't she!

JenniferG
03-10-2009, 11:33 PM

maybe some little ants would be great, too...all in a line
