Hi!

Wondering about Picasa... for those of you who use PSP, is it worth it to try to use Picasa when it doesn't read PSP files? Or am I missing something?

I have PSAlbum but it doesn't work right on my system... Too many little glitches that I haven't been able to work out, too many crashes and I have too little patience!

Picasa's usefulness is mostly for organziign photos and elements. You don't really need to organize layouts. PSPBrowse or Album can help y9ou view them if you're looking for a specific one. Also, since you'll save copies as jpg for viewing online or to send for printing, Picasa reads those, and then you'll know which title PSP file you want

And it's free, what can it hurt? LOL!

LOL, you're right Emma.. it just seems to work more smoothly than PSAlbum overall ... and, I did discover last night that the reason I couldn't see my png files was because I had to add that file type in, so it became much more useful to me overall. Before that, I wasn't seeing any of my actual elements unless it a background or preview in jpg format.

I guess the only thing I do save in psp format are my actual layouts, your answer makes a whole ton of sense!

Before I go assigning keywords, I need to decide which program I'm going to use because the keyword thing IS time consuming!

Yes, you definitely want to only have to do that once! I did mine all in PSA, and am so frustrated with it, that I'm in the process of changing it all over to Picasa. I was already using Picasa for all of my scrapbooking elements, etc, and PSA for just my photos. But it keeps having broken links, and that is driving me crazy!

So, fwiw, I recommend Picasa! I'm mad that I spent that $50 on PSA...oh, well, live and learn!
