wondering how you do these sample is there a template or something or do you just pick a photo you like and pick the colors from there?

Hi Tora,
There is a template floating around, a sort of simple quick click that someone posted in one of Lauren's Gimme a Clue thread a few times. It lets you put your inspiration photo up with blocks of color beside it. Some people use Kuler to pick colors, I've always done it by hand. It's fun-- come play!
Hi Raphne yes I like to come and play, like you I like to pick the colors by hand. But need to find the template if you have a link Iīll be grateful :) or make a template not find one is better LOL

Are you looking for some specific colours Tina?
no, just forgetful, Hannah. Will try to remember to pick tomorrow.
Hi there I just wanted to post a color-swatch here for the first time. Not sure if itīs the right size or not ? guess I just have to find out right :)
http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/data/500/thumbs/Swatch-Template-1.jpg (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=308387&ppuser=117264)
:( well itīs really tiny .......sorry
Hi Tora, I clicked on your swatch image here in the forum and it links to your bigger image in the gallery... my small swatch also links to a bigger image the gallery, so I left mine as is (small) here in the forum :) in other Winakits, my swatch image has shown up larger...not sure what I did different this time :) or what I might do differently next time :)
I agree with Jennifer...I LOVE pinky's color swatch ...the colors look so good together. I'll have to try them out in PSP just for the fun of it :)

Awesome Tina!
We need a flower-y background in the orange colors with a green backing...maybe?

Oooooh! I can't wait to see what you do with this! Orange is one of my least favorite colors, but somehow I really liked this!
How about a textured background in the lightest color, grunged up with smudges of the 2 darker oranges?
beautiful colors and I look forward to see what you can
do with them they seem so alike :)
I would like to see a light background with a darker patter.

Couple more suggestions:
Dark organge with the lightest oranged scratched through it vertically and horizontally, but not a plaid look.
Green background with a canvas texture with a grungy yellow edge.

Oh, perfect:tup:! Even better than what I had pictured in my head (naturally lol)
I think these colors could easily overwhelm photos, so I'm thinking another lighter background. . . maybe one in the yellow, worn with the lightest orange, with flowers in the darker oranges with stems & leaves attached. Either a small pattern all over or a larger pattern at the edges/corners.

One of my fave paper scrapbk papers is in exactly these tones. I wish I could describe it but you will probably not figure it out but I am hoping it will spark your creativity and you will make something fab with it...
Anyway it has diamonds in the darker orange and the inside is in one of the lighter oranges and then intermixed into it there is the green. It has a nice grunge all over It is kind of like a diamond inside diamond look (and it is a somewhat small pattern).
If not a small diamond print in all the colors would be fab.

How about a green print. Would that be too overpowering. It could have, instead of polka dots, little squares of the different colors and a dot in each square of a different color. I still think the whitewashed look is good.
oh this is sweet love the watercolory paper- how many bg.paperīs are there going to be?

pretty backgrounds :) How about a green background with embossed green leaves/vines...green on green or maybe soft white/green on green :)

yes! Beautiful backgrounds! Now well need something with the green and something with that goldenrod color! How about a tone on tone with the goldenrod, or maybe embossed harlequin!

Beautiful! We need green next. How about green paper with big delicate viney swirls, soft and subtle to match these papers.

I like this idea! But then, I love Harlequin patterns lol
Those two pretty backgrounds are so much softer than the direction I imagined this kit would take! I like it!

I like the grungy paper.
I'd like something with a bold pattern. Maybe a geometric pattern. Oh, maybe squares (or hollow squares) in the different colors, in different sizes that somewhat overlap each other.

Definately needs some pattern papers - - -so how about a diagonal stripe with the orange, green, and that bright yellow color worked in but textured similiar to what ya have with a washed out kind of look

I'm thinking a harlequin type paper in the green with jewels of the different colors at the intersections. OR The non-green colors in a harlequin pattern with the green in jewels (several different types) at the intersections. Does this make sense?

I have no idea when (or if!) I'll get back to this at the moment. So, you get to choose from my new kits- Day Brightener or Quietly Callie (not in the store yet). Here is a preview. PM me with your choice and file size.
