View Full Version : Love this gadget in iGoogle - great backgrounds
I have this gadget in iGoogle and it gives me such pleasure every day: Fractal of the Day (http://www.google.com/ig/directory?type=gadgets&url=prymak.googlepages.com/fractalday.xml) It's free and lets you download high-res images.
I haven't found a way to use it except through iGoogle (link on Google's home page -- it's just a little personal Google home page and is free). If you click on the fractal of the day, it opens to a high-res image that you can download. I use these for all sorts of things, mainly desktop pictures, but they would be great BGs for some layouts.
Below is today's fractal plus a couple of my faves. If you put this gadget on an iGoogle, you can go back to see all of the fractals that have been published so far.

FAB! I'm even a iGoogler but didn't know about this great feature! MAN a gal could spend days exploring all the fun stuff at Google!!! I don't know why I CAN'T get a job working there (ok ... note ... I'm using the word "work" rather loosely here! FOMCLOL ... now I'm ROTFLMBO! ME? a JOB? that would totally shock poor DH! and I don't want to be responsible for him having heart issues ... nope ... I'm making the sacrifice for the health of my dearly beloved! ... oh oh ... more ROTFLOL! I gotta go or this will get totally out of control...)

I have the Media Edition of Windows XP Professional. When I play a song on it, I can set the screen to show these kinds of images. I wait until I see a really pretty one and then hit print screen. I open it in PSP and save it for backgrounds.

I'm off to check it out.
I love Fractals and am learning to create them, (not an easy project).
Thanks for the info.

Hi. We are in Fritch, TX parked in a friend's driveway for a few days. We took a tour of the Alibates flint quarries today. Very interesting place and I can't wait to scrap the photos, but will have to. :-(
