Yeahhhhhhhhh! I was so hoping for this one!
Congrats Jesmchool! :applause:

Erica, do we need to follow a certain theme?
These colours would be great for all kind of kits like Easter, birth/baby, summer, spring.......
Anything you prefer?

Jess said she got her inspiration from a birthday party for her little one from memory so as you suggest Janet, birth/baby, Easter, spring or summer etc would work well. Thanks for the great suggestions.

Whoopie! I'm still wearing my partyhat and ready to celebrate another birthday!
Forget about the "Eggies"bg.
 party....picnic...patchwork plaid bg.
  party...flowers...doodled bg.

Can't wait to see what you all come up with.

Clouds... I would love some nice clouds in the light blue...

I'd actually like to see a rainbow background! That greyish blue, with a very faint pattern of scattered clouds and rainbows.

Also how about a diagonal stripe in all the colors. Kind of like Rainbow bright :) If you still remember her... except no metallic :)! Anyway thought that would be good for birthday!

Spring/Summer: lilac bg. with doodled vanilla (?) flowers.

Hi Janet some clarification please - do you mean actual 'vanilla' flower doodles or just the 'plain/basic' definition? Sorry

OH those are sooooo gorgeous Erica!

What about a sort of splotchy background using all the colours kind of like a messy merge (does that make sense) and then with sort of kindy style doodles (like squiggles and spirals and things) in lighter colours... or light with dark doodles.... hmmm i dunno!

Those are such fun backgrounds! The clouds are a nice balance for the bright!

Along the lines of a spring theme...
How about a circle frame...but made of twine dots...

And, A basket to take on the picnic..

And, maybe tiny ants... that came along on the picnic.. (I know some before mentioned a picnic cloth)...

What about something with rain drops or maybe sparkles that resemble raindrops

Erica, the BGs are gorgeous! I have a rainbow photo waiting to be scrapped! How about a white BG with a blue grid on it, like graph paper, maybe a bit crumpled, grungy edges?

Raphne
04-09-2009, 12:07 PM
Ooooh, beautiful beautiful!

How about. . . a soft springy green sort of new grass background? Maybe smudged with the dark pine-tree green?

A sunny yellow, mostly that third color, with a little of the 1st, 2nd, and 4th colors, maybe sort of a single strand of the various accent colors lacing through for a sort of check pattern, or maybe a course linen texture grunged with the other colors

These are beautiful Erica. How about a grassy green background with wisps of grass showing here and there.

I think those rainbows need a pot of gold...or at least a basket of flowers.

How about a lacey or damask pattern for another background. Just got through watching Martha Stewart while I did laundry and I thought a background like some of those beautiful eggs she died would be beautiful... anyway I can't wait to see more.

Sorry I've not posted over the Easter weekend, I didn't get the time to devote to this as I'd hoped :annoyed:

Last 2 Backgrounds:
I heard a request for a grass type BG and one with different coloured single strands like a check pattern.

I will be uploading a couple of elements today but please keep more suggestions coming.

An al fresco picnic party-- sounds fabulous! lol

Love the last two backgrounds, Erica-- beautiful! and the elements are charming, too. I love the idea of a rainbow element, and I can absolutely envision some little flowers to scatter on that pretty blanket. Don't you think that pot of gold needs a leprachon? And, for some reason, I'm thinking a pair of ruby slippers. . . hehe!

Maybe a flowering bush of some kind-- I'm partial to lilacs ;-)

Here are another 3 Elements:

Picnic basket
Multi coloured balloons
A daisy and buttercup

The last 2 elements I'll be doing are the ants/bees and rainbow streamers.

Start thinking of a name bearing in mind the reason Jess submitted her colour scheme, the colours of her of her little girls rainbow birthday party.

Summer's Birthday Party

Summertime Birthday Party

Come to my Birthday Party

Birthday Party at the Park

My Picnic Birthday Party

How about adding BD plates... ---maybe they could also be brads...

A grassy border (for the bottom)...

Something to journal on... maybe a Cloud notepaper cut out.. or a Vellum Strip (colored like one of the balloons ) (since the balloons are see through) - But something to write on...

Love it Erica!!
