Background suggestions:
White background with a grungy brown edge
White with flowers in different sizes and colour combos similar to those in the swatch
Purple with brown and white swirls
Brown with a wrinkled/crumpled looking texture

I love anything paisley--so how about the mauve as background, the lavendar as the outer border for the paisley shape, and then the inner details with the brown, green, and yellow?
jemtred
04-18-2009, 04:31 AM
A purple BG with cloudy swirls in a darker shade?
jemtred
04-18-2009, 04:37 AM
A darker green (than the swatch) with the swatch green as leaves around the edges or clustered in the corners. Or wiht light and dark reversed?
Sammimagoo
04-18-2009, 04:57 AM
everything suggested is very swirly and/or plain how about some dots or circles to break it up a bit, they blend in nice with the flowery spring feel...if that is where you are going :)

Pretty swatch!!
I like how the background of the swatch is a gradient, so how about a paper with a little bit of a gradient too, with different colored leaves or flowers along one side or in one corner.
or maybe a painted texture over newsprint.

a thin satin ribbon in the gold/yellow color, and a short piece of ribbon folded over and stapled
a polaroid frame with a ribbon wrapped at the bottom

I'll second all of these suggestions!!!
What about some stamped journaling lines? A long vertical rectangle - that have a mix of brown/black and white so that depending on which background you use them the lines are visible...does that make sense. Worst case, just do the lines in a dark brown.

ooh, I was hoping for a floral paper- Loving the speed in which this is coming out! Frames are the first thing I look for in a kit. What about a thin round circle frame, possibly with scalloped edges, made out of a subtle newspaper print. I love having choices with my frames, maybe another newspaper print one either square or rectangular.

Oh I so wish I could do it that fast more often.. sadly my day job gets in the way! LOL I was sick over the weekend and yesterday so was lucky enough to have a day off work yesterday and did the papers in between naps. LOL I will try and get an element or two done tonight with any luck.

loving these papers, for an element, what about a twisted, twiggy kind of frame, similar to the 1st paper but a 3D "real" look to it, with some leaves clustered in a corner or on one side....sorry, its hard to explain what is in your head sometimes... does that make sense to you???

I'm thinking a paper pieced branch like the one in the paper, or perhaps stitched felt would look great with this. And why not some flowers to match?
Scrapping4Him
04-21-2009, 12:25 PM
Oooo - this is pretty! Definitely "Springy". A tree element in the style of the background paper would go wonderfully with the bird element someone else requested. It could even be just half of the tree that comes in off the edge of the paper. If you did that, having it come in from the right would be preferred because it would not have much of a drop shadow which would then allow us to flip it horzontally and add a drop shadow and be able to use it on the left side as well.

Absolutely adorable! I know I sound like a broken record- but could we get another single frame- either round or square (although I think a round scalloped frame would go so well with what's already here) For me, multiple frames work best as a complement to single frames, and are hard to scrap with by themselves. Loving what you have so far- this is turning out so cute!
