:yippee:Thanks to you all for voting on this scheme.
The longer I look at the colours the more I'm thinking about a romantic kind of kit, but still keeping that Mother's day theme in my head.
:think:Linen textures and lace's is what's comming up in my mind right now.
Just a few suggestions:
- Linen textured background
- Herringbone textured background
- Using the third colour as the backgound colour and adding handpainted/doodled flowers in the 2 lightest colours (does that make sense?:))
- I'd like to see the Hellebore flowers on a Victorian style background.
(I love those beautiful old bedspreads and wallpapers).
Can't wait to see what you all come up with!!!

I'm still jumping into new things here at DSP so even though I've done a few of the other challenges where WE tell the designer what we would like to see, this particular challenge is new to me....so I'm going to just jump right in.
With keeping the mothers day theme in mind, what about one of the darker colors as a background with painted on childs handprints in the lighter color. I know that every year for the past 2 years I have gotten a card from my youngest son with his handprint on it for mother's day.

Also maybe try to incorporate those leaves somehow into a background.

I'd like to see one of the papers made to look hand make..
like with pressed flowers embedded in it..
Or like hand made - like one of the medium greens - and use the lightest green to make like rice paper...
And An overlay with a floral border

I like the leaves idea I would love the lightest green background with dark green leaves. Either doodled or a brush but I would love to see it stay very graphic.
I also love the linen background idea

Oooooh! I like this!
But I think perhaps light with dark handprints, instead, or maybe one of the mid-shades with light *and* dark handprints

Awesome ideas ladies as i'm at the gold coast crop at the moment:yippee::yippee: getting these ideas underway may be a bit delayed but you can bet I'll be on to it ASAP. Thank you and keep them coming

Well, since you are delayed...
I think there should be a White to Yellow flower with a green Leaf element... Similar to a dogwood or more yellow ...
And, maybe a trellis for (I know dogwoods don't grow on trellis) but something for the flowers to grow up on
I've seen lots of fences... but not many pretty trellises

We need a crumpled paper background in the darker color and a lacey background in a very light color (keeping the green scheme. And maybe some velvet ribbons and bows in greens and yellows

Hmmmm. . . now that I'm home, and not at work, looking at that lovely swatch. . .
how about a solid, a lineny texture, in that lightest green?
A faint harlequin with the 1st and 4th color?

I love the idea of a velvet ribbon/bow and how about a lace ribbon with bow or an oval doily or frame (using the lace pattern from the background).
Or maybe a frame looking like an old (victorian style) mirror

a feminine old fashioned pen perhaps with an ivory looking handle
word overlay using old fashioned looking script or better yet a clipping mask with old fashioned script words in it.

How about. . . a scatter of dried rose petals?
I love the pearls idea, but how about a spill of loose pearls?
This is really out there, but how about a bridal veil, with maybe a beaded veil coming down from a flower crown?

Oh, Erica, these are beautiful! This is going to be one lovely kit.
If you haven't decided on those last few elements yet, how about. . .
a spray of baby's breath, or maybe a small bouquet with baby's breath and dried rosebuds
antiqued bronze corners, with little specs of the orange and green from the cameo pin and/or the enamel green
a scrap of torn parchment paper for journaling
debilou
05-17-2009, 07:55 PM
Oh, How beautiful...
How about something for journaling like a old post card or an ATC vintage card...
Instead of a frame, how about corners matching the cameo?
This reminds me of something my Grandmother would have already...
Maybe something Crocheted...
