I am working on my first layout and decided to import a plopper from the freebies oage, I imported and placed my pics but need to send the pic to the back so the little brads show. I tried send to back with no success, When you import rather than use layouts which come with program do you not have this ability?
Anyone know?

You should be able to. I've created some pages from scratch using DSP kits and you should be able to reorder your layers. My software is on my laptop so I would have to go and check but there is a button on the toolbar somewhere towards the right at the top that allows you to "send to back" (or front or whatever). There's a keyboard shortcut too but I can't remember it off the top of my head something like Ctrl +/-.
If you can't find the button let me know and I'll go fire up my other machine and look at it properly instead of trying to use my memory. (which is far from perfect)

I just had another thought why you might be having trouble. If you've brought in your plopper as a "background" then it will always stay at the back regardless of what you do. You need to bring it in as an element and size it to fit the page to have the photos behind it.

aha!!!!! I had no idea about bringing it in as an element. I plopped the plopper like a background, umm how do you bring it in as an element?
thanks for your help

Use the Embellishments > Add Embellishment button down the right hand side. Or from the menu at the top of the page Insert > Add Embellishment.
You'll get a dialog box pop up - just browse/navigate to your plopper and select it. Typically full pages will pull in smaller than your actual page - just resize it to fit and you'll be fine.
Hope that does the trick. Yell if you're still struggling.

If your plopper is in your designer backgrounds, select it, then click on the "add as photo" which is on the lower left of the box that comes up for selecting a background.
