Hi!
Would you awesome baby photographers please share some tips with me on photographing newborns?
I have had two photo shoots with 5 weeks and 6 weeks old babies (both boys) these little darlings have not been in the best of moods. I have to mention the two times it have been in the evening.
I have managed to get some cute pictures of mom and baby or baby and daddy,
but that is about it. The majority of baby's shots is him crying :( and maybe one or two of him quiet, but I can't get creative because if I move him he starts all over again. :(
Tips would be awesome!
Thanks!

one of the best suggestions I've heard is to make sure the baby is full. If baby starts to cry suggest mom "top him off" feed them a little to make sure they are full. Also make sure the room is warm. I hope this helps!

I have got good pics when they are asleep, like sleeping on towels (placing them as they are right about to fall asleep).
Or if they just will not be happy with out being in mom or dads arms, you can try using a black piece of material covering the parent and have the baby in their lap, then zoom in tight.

A white noise machine and keeping them WARM helps a lot.

ok I just read on a parenting forum, someone who gave great tips, on lighting and apeture and stuff. If anyone wants the link let me know and I can send it to you, I just don't know if I am allowed to post it here

I'm always game for tips and tricks!
You can certainly post links here from a parenting forum. Links we don't allow are to other scrap stores, blogs that advertise other scrap sites, etc.
Sounds like yours would be good to share!
