The Casual Friday theme for this week is "A Mom I want to be like" (or if you are one of our men members, a mom I'd like my wife to be like). This can be a fictional character from tv/lit/movies, or someone in your real life!

This includes all of you "yet to be moms". Who do you want to be like when you become a mommy? :D Or also our non-moms, who do you wish your mom was like?

(sorry, I posted the wrong date earlier  )

If you can't think of a Mom you'd like to be like, feel free to post who you consider to be the "coolest mom". Again, this could be fictional from tv/lit/movies or someone in your real life...

Just be sure to edit your siggy to tell us about your pic for coolest mom! :D

I thought about using FlyLady as well! ;)

But instead, I'll celebrate by putting up a pic of the only "Mom" in the house here...our girl Zephyr with one of her pups, Maggie (aka Yellow Girl).

Who wouldn't want a HOT MOM like that? Just don't drool too much...K?

I have choosen "Everybody Loves Raymond" Patricia Heaton, because I can sooooo feel for her. My husband is soooo much like hers...LOL. But she is a good mom and puts up with the in laws...but not without a fight!!! I like her feistiness (spelling?)

Well, I have to go with the Mom who was also my best friend. If my daughter can look back on our relationship and feel as good about it as I do in remembering Mom, I'll have done alright.

Hope it doesn't sound vain to want to be a mom just like myself!

Far from perfect, but as long as my kids feel I love them and I'm trying my best, that's what I want to be like! I try not to compare myself to other moms and feeling like I don't measure up, so I just use my tunnel vision and keep on keepin' on! That's all we can do!

...but y'all have found some great role models! I learn a lot from all of them! Especially Flylady, wow she's changed my life!

well, thats a little deeper than I thought casual friday would be going.

Remember... its all in good fun! :D It's not like I plan to pattern my life after Jill Taylor, and I would certainly never call any fictional character my role model ;)

Ah, dang it! That's what I get for letting my girly side show! From now on, sarcasm only!

And to redeem myself, I made Jennifer's avatar for her of Mama Berenstein Bear! The only cartoon character posted for Mother's Day avatar!!! :p How's that for fictional character as role model?!
