Hi
I'm really new to digi scrapping and invested in pse7. So far I'm only doing very basic LOs as I try to learn what to do.

I have a star shaped frame and would like to know how to get my photo to fit inside.
Can anyone please help?

Many thanks

A basic way: click (use the magic tool) on the inside of the frame; drag it to your photo; move it to the part you want to use and copy/paste it to the frame and place the photo under the frame.
Hope this makes sense.

Another way (and with PSE there are always many ways LOL)

Open your frame - click inside with the magic wand to get the inside selection (you'll see "marching ants" as we call them)

Go to your photo
select> all
edit> copy

Go back to your frame - click inside the frame
edit> paste into selection

When you use paste into selection instead of paste - you have the added ability to move and resize your selection inside the frame to make it look perfect. Just make sure not to hit the check mark or hit enter until after you resize and shift your photo within the frame.

After pasting into selection - choose your move tool - and manipulate your photo using the bounding box - the corner arrows will shrink or increase the size of the photo proportional (with PSE4, I need to hold down the shift key to make it stay proportional, but your version may not require this) - you can also move the photo around until you have it placed within the frame exactly as you wish it to be.

After you are sure you love the positioning, hit the checkmark or enter key and your frame and photo will be merged into one.

MAKE SURE YOU SAVE YOUR PROJECT UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME OR YOU MAY WRITE OVER YOUR FRAME FILE.

Thank you both for your help.
I'll have a go later and see if it works
