Congrats Caro!
Can't wait to see how this will turn out in the end.
How about a dark red velvet background wit golden glitter swirls?

The 3rd colour from the left (mauve?) isn't a colour I see very often in papers so how about some of that as a rich paper texture with a water mark or a rose embossed in a corner in the darker purple colour - like writing paper for royalty?

Love that idea of an embossed paper...maybe black with embossed flowers in the first and third (from the left) colors.

I like the deep blue with like a fine fine splash of glitter through it

I know there isn't a green in the swatch but I feel a dark green paper would look fantastic. Maybe a hazy/smoky look a bit like the BG behind the gorgeous rose.
Or a really dark purple (like the colour right at the end of the petals) with silvery dew drops (?) randomly strewn around the edges

I'd love to see the Gold as an overlay...
I'd Personally like to see the Burgandy color reserved not for background but for the accents like wax seals. (going along the lines mentioned above of royalty papers)...

Congrats Caro!! How about the mauve as the background embossed with roses in the darker purple with a touch of glitter on the tips of the roses.

Oh, I just love this, and I can't wait to see what Erica comes up with!
I just finished my page with Vintage elegance, and I just love those lacy papers. Maybe a background in the pinkish color, with a lacy overlay in the light grey and indigo, with traces of gold

How about a crushed velvet look with the darker colors and a lacy overlay BG with the lighter??

I agree that you can never have too many overlays! And I always like a nice strong edgy thingy - overlay or on the edge of a paper.

I would love a silver tattoo styled crucifix and a deep black grunge wooden frame and some deep deep black red rose petals and some metal hearts and maybe a beautiful rose bud similar in colour of the one in the photo and some separate green leaves or even some baby's breathe little white flowers on a vine

I don't think the black roses sound crazy at all. Sounds very interesting!

Backgrounds are beautiful!!! How about a separate ribbon and bow in black with a touch of silver glitter, and a grouping of mauve, white and black roses, and a silver frame. I sure hope I will be able to complete a layout when this kit is complete, I am going to be away for the last 2 weeks in June helping my mom move. I will be looking forward to using it next month in EEE!!

Erica, those backgrounds. . . . absolutely divine! Can't wait to see them up close and personal lol
The indigo background, is that a gold or silver tint to the pattern on it? I love the idea of metalic elements, particularly ones that are a bit tarnished or have a patina to them. . .
How about, instead of a ribbon, an intricate metalic scrollwork strip, somewhat like the one in Toscana Dawn or Eastern Promise, but maybe a bit more delicate.
Love Caro's suggestion of the crucifix, and the rosebud.
A string of twisted pearls, maybe with a few diamonds, garnets, or sapphires in for a bit of sparkle
A climbing vine with flowers, maybe silvery grey/white, dark blue, or that maroon.
A journaling page of fine parchment, with maybe a viney pattern down one side, or a celtic knot type pattern
A cameo pin
An embroidered linen hankerchief, maybe edged with crochet lace

It's gold Raphne but I can easily change it to silver, I'll go with what the majority would like :D Here's a sample of them both, gold at the top.

I love both, but seems to me that the silver one is just slightly brighter.
With all the dark colors from the backgrounds I think the silver one would be nice.

Wow no internet for a few days and look what happens! Those BGs are just gorgeous!
How about some incredibly expensive looking water-marked writing paper or some thick looking parchment for journaling on? A nice/formal looking silver frame to match the crucifix? An overlay/ page frame in heavy silverwork/pewter? ANd of course lots more roses - dark purple/black were the previous suggestions I really liked. Or even a quill for writing with?
Looking great so far Erica
