Pinch & a Punch Chat! .....

Hi All

I am going to start holding a monthly 'pinch and a punch' chat, on the 1st of each month.

I would love some idea's on what you would like to do each month at the pinch and punch chats.

We could co-ordinate them with the graphically challenged and do a session each month on the challenge theme... or.... I would love to hear your idea's, wishes and wants on what you would like to do... lets have it!!! :D

A couple of thoughts...

First, what is a 'pinch and a punch'? I'm not familiar with the term.

While I love the thought of having a chat on the 1st of the month (that's my birth-day and would be an extra treat on top of Club Digital!), it might be easier for people to schedule if it was always on the first Monday, Tuesday, whatever...rather than on a date that changes days each month.

It is a saying, might only be an Aussie one, not sure, but it is short for 'A Pinch and a Punch for the first day of the Month'.

Pinch and Punch sounds fun. Session on the challenge theme sounds good. Something to think about might be doing a layout from favorites. I have so many wonderful layouts in my favorites but never find the time to scraplift them.

I agree. i'd love to see a themed chat to coordinate with graphically Challenged. Maybe mini tuts to help those who are struggling or might struggle with the challenge?

Good idea to have a graphic tutorial. I like the idea of it being on the 1st - if it moves days it doesn't mean you ALWAYS have to miss it if it's a bad day. It gives everyone a chance.

That is a very good point, Julia! Something that coordinates with graphic challenge would be good. Maybe give us an inspiration photo or LO to discuss and scraplift.

I love all of these idea's! Maybe we should change it up a bit each month. I have been thinking about it, and on days where the 1st falls on a weekend or day off for me, I can set the time that suits more timezones, but if it falls mid week I will have to stick to evening in Aussie time since I work during the day. I will be on holidays for the first one, so I can make it evening DSP time. Will let you know the time as soon as I catch up on a few things...

Hi Robyn, I was hoping to be able to join in but if my calculations are correct that will be 8.00am Thursday 2nd for me and I have to be at work by 9.00 - hope it all goes well. Won't be able to be at the 1st August one either, we will be on the high seas somewhere between Thailand and Malayasia :yahoo:

He he, that is exactly why I am able to make it in the evening US time, because I am on holidays at home with the kids for a week. On other months where it falls mid week I suspect it will be in the wee hours of the morning for the US people.

Well the first chat is to co-ordinate with the next graphically challenged...and I am thinking I might change it up a bit each time to keep it interesting. ;-)

Well, I'm going to make every effort to be there. May have to leave half way through to get the kids dinner, but I will be there for the beginning any way!

And WooHoo! I may actually be able to do the challenge this month, of course, taking delivery of all my stuff and having to put the house together may interfere some, but I should be able to do at least one LO! :lol:
