So sad.. he has a strange life and was a strange man, but such a talented musician.

I've been following on CNN for the past hour. I'm not a fanatic (perhaps not even a fan) but I have the deepest respect for his contributions to pop music. So it is kind of sad.

But it is just as sad that Farah Fawcett lost her battle with cancer today as well.

His life certainly had interesting turns. Thriller was one of the first albums I bought (OK, the Grease soundtrack was probably the first), and yes it was an actual album, but I can remember dancing around our living room! Every once in a while, I see the Billie Jean video in some sort of a retrospective, or best of type shows, and I can't help but watch it and marvel at how cool it was, and still is. He most definitely left his mark and shaped music.

As for Farah Fawcett, it is sad when any life has to be ravaged by cancer, leaving a shell of a person. Again, childhood memories, I can remember winning a poster of Farah at a 4th of July picnic, it was huge, and she was so pretty!

I am sure they are both in a more peaceful place.
