I've been scrapping since 1am. It's 9:30 now. I've completed 17 new LOs, fixed/finished 9 others, and have put them all in chronological order for the album. I am still going... as I want to finish this album today and get it started printing.
Now, my question:
for those of you who use Artscow...
Do the covers print full bleed?
How quick is turnaround time if I pay for fedEx shipping? I mean, do you ladies get your books quickly?
I am hoping to get this book by July 2, but it will never happen. So as soon after that as possible is preferable. I want to give the book to its recipient before they leave the state, if at all possible.
Thanks!

the worst part is that I have been awake since about 5pm yesterday <sigh> and I am SO tired. My eyes are dry, and all I can do is keep scrapping. I'm going to sleep well once I get there LOL
Nafeesa - - you are one crazy lady!!! But I love it!!! I don't know enough about ArtsCow to tell you, but I do hope you can get the album printed in time.
It is so fun to have enthusiastic members like you around!

An all nighter! I was up until close to 1am last night, up at 6am, and man am I dragging today!! Rebekah, I am certainly impressed by your dedication!
The only thing I have printed at Artscow is a set of playing cards. I received a shipping notification about two days after I placed my order, but all their things ship from Hong Kong, so it just takes a bit to get here. I think they took about 10 days in transit.
I believe their covers are full bleed, check out this post on Lauren's blog: Artscow Products (http://create4u.blogspot.com/2009/02/artscow-products.html).
I don't recall if they offer expedited shipping and/or how much it is, and not sure how quick it would really get to you even with a speedier shipping method.
Good luck!

Hong Kong! Goodness. I was thinking of taking a now but now I am not sure... I have a few more LOs I need for this book... though i think, if it is HK, then sleeping now won't affect my order if I still get it in tonight.. I think... I don't know...
I'm stilll nuts.
But thanks everyone :)
I checked out Lauren's page and it does seem like the cover prints full bleed, which I want. The pages look decent too. I'll take my chances on ordering from there and hope it gets here in time.

You are not nuts! Just sleep deprived and excited to get your book finished and printed!
Something to mention in case this is your first time printing ... whether you are printing books or loose sheets, just about any printer, you will loose any where between an 1/8" and 1/4" around the edge of your page. A lot of pages it doesn't matter, others it does. So just be careful with what you have close to the edges of your pages.

I reduce teh size of my layouts for print to 7.5 inches and put them on an 8 inch black background to avoid the bleed cut off issue - you really dont notice the black at all and you dont lose any of your image - ( It does become an issue with a 2 page layout in which case I just nudge it toward the centre ( left or right depending on which side) ( I dont do many 2 pagers but ive done a few - and it works well .
I got my atc cards in 5 days but thats pretty unusually fast - the books do tend to take a little longer - I would think you might wait at least a week - but not much longer

I haven't used Artscow yet for printing, but I did get a book from VioVio and to avoid cropping during printing I added a 1/8" border to all of my pages (total dimensions 12.25 x 12.25") - the border was completly cropped.
My book was printed at 10x 10" and I don't think that you need to reduce the size of your pages to upload.
I use PSE 5.0 and a member here at DSP was very kind to create an action for me that would automatically add this border to my pages (in any color) with the press of a button after the file was saved as a .jpg - this saved countless hours for me as I prepared 113 pages for print.
Good luck with your book!
p.s. I also have a Winkflash photo book that was delivered in 2 days (I did not pay to expedite) - from VioVio it took almost 2 weeks to deliver (media mail)

Winkflash seems to be fast, but they don't seem to do full bleed covers... What are other printing options, as far as websites?
Could I possibly print the pages and find a sleeved album to put them in? Could I find one that has full covers?
I'm probably going to print in 8x8, what size border should I add to my pages to loose it?
I ended up not finishing yet, I passed out and just now woke up. Looks like I missed bingo tonight lol.

You might check out Shutterfly. It's been awhile since I printed a book with them, but I seem to remember it came pretty quickly.

I just ordered a book from Shutterfly~it came super quick.I did pay a little more for Priority Mailing (Only 2.00 more I believe than reg.mail) and it came in about 3 days after I received delivery info. They print & ship in 2 days.I needed it quick for my daughter;s teacher and was thrilled. Also received from them a tracking # and watched it make its way here.Am very happy with Shutterfly.Have also ordered Calenders,t-shirts.Mouse pads from them and have been completely happy with purchases & fast shipping.
Good Luck~

My stuff (regular shipping) took forever from Shutterfly, but it was ordered before the holiday rush... a 2nd book I did later on, also took a long time (2-3 weeks), but it was during a free photo book promotion.
I'm hoping to try artscow when I have time to scrap enough lo's.
Nafeesa, wondering how it went? I'd be so tempted to order 2 copies so I could keep one and give the other away, lol. Beautiful lo's for the book.

I ended up printing from Costco to get the pages fast. Eventually yes my husband wants a copy of the book for us, but not until we have a place to keep it (like a house of our own)
