How do you "downsize" a 300ppi page kit to 200ppi. I use PSE7 and have several options available under image:resize, then it's bicubic, bicubic smoother, bicubic sharpner. Also is there a way to do all the pieces of the kit at one time? Will it affect .jpg and.png files differently?

Thanks for any help.

Are you just wanting to use pieces, or are you wanting to actually reduce their size and save them at 200 to save space?

To just use things, I typically create a document at 200ppi, and just bring in the backgrounds and elements I want to use. If you use File > Place to bring things into your scrap document, PS/PSE will center them on the page, which is particularly nice for the background papers. Or if you are dragging from open documents or the photo bin, you hold down shift to drag into the page centered. If you want elements smaller or larger on the page, just use transform (smaller almost always works just fine, but be careful as you make things bigger).

Thanks for your help. I want to downsize the whole page kit and save it in 200ppi format. As painlessly as possible :) .

I would go image resize and just change the resolution - choose bicubic sharper making sure resample image IS checked . ( If you do this regularly you can create yourself an action. - to do that before you start doing it for the first time Open one file then open your actions palette and check the new action icon - ( name it resize 300-200) then do the image resize - save and close the file. then stop the action.

Now you have the action done you can apply it to a whole folder by running the automate - batch function.

Thanks for the help. I had no idea which bicubic to use. I have never made an action, but perhaps this is a good time to learn. Does downsizing affect the quality of the product?

It depends but from 300-200 you should be fine resizing down.
