Blue and white swirly cloudy sky paper?
I love hot air balloons (thus the swatch) so I would love to see one included in some way, whether on a paper or as an element.

maybe yellow and white stripes, but kinda subtle and grunged up.
janetklm

Wonderful colors!
I'd like to see a striped (diagonal)background like the border and one like the background in the photo using both blue colors and some clouds.
EmmaJean
07-02-2009, 03:35 PM
OKay, I'm going to jump in here. I've never actually participated in a Clue before, but I always watch them and love what you come up with! So glad you decided to do a few more before leaving for the crop.
I love the striped idea like the border, but maybe that would work better during the elements section as a frame. I think a blue cloudy paper would be nice or maybe a yellow paper with some thin red diagonal stripes.
EmmaJean
07-02-2009, 03:36 PM
Or a yellow/red checkered BG like the little flags
blue background with yellow daisies and red hearts?
blue background with swirly blue clouds and yellow/gold stars...like a late evening sky :)

I would like to see a striped paper with the stripes not even, sort of puffed out toward the middle of the page, similar to how the stripes are on the balloon.
idtwinmom
07-02-2009, 07:11 PM
I second the blue cloudy BG, maybe with a bit of wrinkle to it, like it's fabric.
It would also be interesting to see what would happen if you did the pink, and then down at the bottom of the photo is a lavender color that was not picked up in the swatch, if that was used for the texture/grunge on the pink. Of course, I'm totally not sure how it would actually look.

I tried many variations of the red with grungy yellow and in the end I think the red works best as just an accent to the rest so I went with this - time for elements now

Maybe a tone on tone red stripe with a bit of sparkle?
I know white wasn't one of the colors, but I love the look of the white fabric in the background. Kind of shimmery white. I could use that for lots of stuff!

Don't care which color, but a paper that looks like it has been sponge painted like the snowmen. Doesn't have to be snowmen either, just an allover pattern like a small child would do.

Yipee! I feel like a winner all over!!! Maybe I should go play the lottery...
Can I add though that the snowmen are actually Adreana's fingers. They are soo cute and come with a poem and all! That was our Christmas gift they did at Mother's Day out...
As for backgrounds... I like the idea of a translucent shimmery paper. I also thought maybe a swirly glittery background with all the colors would be cool. I also like Lisa's idea of a paper with some sponged (or finger painted :) ) snowmen in a corner would be neat.
