Now this may be one of the odder things anyone has ever asked for but in for a penny in for a pound!

I'm looking for a template type shape to make a sign to hang on a door like you get in hotels "do not disturb etc". Basically am planning a surprise for my parents which amongst other things includes turnign thier house into a psudo-hotel for the weekend and pampering them like crazy! (they may think I'm crazy but thats altogether different:rofl:!) I have now used nearly all my card stock trying to make the shape myself (freestyle drawing is not my thing!). Nearly all my other little extras are done but I did want one of these to finish it off!

Any ideas gratefully recieved!

This element set by Elizabeth Weaver might work

Are you actually just looking for the template for the shape? A couple suggestions ... I made some signs for doors and just made them rectangular, printed out two sheets and glued them back to back so they would be double sided. I glued a piece of ribbon between the paper to hang on the door knob. If you are looking to make a bunch, I found these pre-cut and perforated door hangers (http://www.thepapermillstore.com/pages.php?pageid=1271). But they are basically a rectangle with a hole cut out in the middle, you could probably do that in your editing program. Then just print, cut and trim. I also found these around the web (googled door hanger template): Door_hanger.odt (http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/download/file.php?id=182&sid=83be532166759c54887e140ab00c7908), Door Hanger PDF (http://www.krishnadigital.com/Templates/Door%20Hanger/DOOR%20HANGER/doorhanger.pdf).

as ever you folks are so great - I'd spent so long trying to make something with a curve like a J I hadn't even thought about these sorts of templates although I think I'll be going with your ribbon idea Kathleen.

Mars love the tempates you found as well think one of these may do me for my (very tongue in cheek) sign for when we do our walking tour!

Again many thanks!
