Hi ladies,

I had a questions in regards to traditional scrapbooking. I recently bought a Cuttlebug because it said you could use the 'competitors' dies in them. I have some of the large Sizzix dies from 5 years ago. I tried to use one in my cuttlebut as instructed but it sounded like it was going to crack the plastic plates that you use to sandwhich with.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Is there a way around it? Did I do something wrong? Does anyone know if the large Sizzix dies from 6 years ago are the same size as the currently produced dies?

I all ready got rid of the large Sizzix so any information anyone has would be much appreciated.

Thank you!
Christina

I have the cuttlebug but I though you only used the small plate with it. I got the cracking sound once and nothing happened (except my B plate got bent a little) but I don't own any old sizzix dies so someone else will have to help.

Christina, I don't have a Cuttlebug, but I did a little Googling, and it looks like your question is a common one!

You might look at:

Using Sizzix Dies in your Cuttlebug (http://www.mylifesart.com/2009/04/using-sizzix-dies-in-your-cuttlebug.html)

and in a post somewhere, a person actually said she had called Provocraftto confirm what it could/couldn't be used for, so you might try that to make sure.

Thank you both for the info. I'll definitely check out that link. I hope I'll get lucky and find a solution but if not, the holidays are coming up and I can always put more Cuttlebug stuff on my list. =)
