Queen Bee Hall Of Odes
In honour of our favourite busy bee, Lynnie!, for all the fun she provided during the sNEAK attACK DSP Trivia (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39084). Have a good chuckle reading her rhymes and the ones written for her. Add one of your own limericks to the 'cuebeehoo' any time!
First little limerick for the hall that started it all...
The Bee needs a thread for her Odes
So her odes have a stylish abode
So time after time
As she buzzes a rhyme
There's a thread in which each can be stowed

"i'm off to turn the chicken, the wonderful chicken of... Of...." i got nothin'.
are you in oz neaker?
it would have been perfect if i were...but alas. That's why i got nothing. My unfinished ode to an oven-baked chicken.
oh this is an ode to an oven-baked chicken
who was a cookin', when i was a'neakin'
the smell is so good that it makes my mouth water
but i'm tempted by trivia, though i know i should aught-er
go and eat in my nice little kitchen
that sweet tasty tender, oven-baked chicken
:rofl::rofl::rofl: I'm speechless. And that's saying something!
neaker is speechless? Well, i'm speechless too!
Whodathunk that my poem would de-speechify you!
Perhaps this addition will freeze up your joints
and we can 'neak up and catch up to your points
I've just been reading all the pages that were posted whilst I was out to dinner (yes, SOME of us do go away from the keyboard!) and I'm rolling on the floor...Lynnie, you are a hoot!
scamp left the keyboard and rolled on the floor
the floor, it was slanted and she rolled out the door
she picked herself up and sat down once again
and tapped on her keyboard to say "lynnie's to blame"
you are freakishly fast neaker!
freakishly fast is the neaker when neaking
rapid her mind with the answers she's seeking
faster are her fingers when typing the trivia
while the rest of us bumble in blithering oblivia
Blithering oblivia is so apt for me as I bumble my way around in here trying to keep up:D

What is the challenge with the word art masks
The queen of the trivia so cleverly asks
and who will answer - the fastest of fast
And who will be with me, at the end, at the last
the bee has buzzed in and swooped up a point
hopefully 'neaker won't get out of joint
the bee has just one and no longer a zero
but neaker's the leader and dsp hero
The things we are trivia-ing we really should know,
The ways we can find things and places to go
Mars you are Mars-velous oh all-knowing one
Empress of the internet, Mars and the sun!
(and the universe, too, but that didn't rhyme,
If you will forgive me,this one little time!)
oh marsvelous, marsvelous, beryl's in third
but who is in second, that i haven't heard
with one lonely point, i know i'm not last
perhaps i'll earn more, if i can be fast
but neaker has streaked ahead of the pack
ask her some trivia where knowledge doth lack
and we will catch up, have our day in the sun
or will i just rest here with my lonely one
Honeymoon's nipping at Neaker's wee heels
Waiting and wanting a few points to steal
Desiring and dreaming on that shiny bright crown
"Oh neaker, oh neaker" she says "YOU'RE GOING DOWN!"
the bee has to work so she won't be here much
but tight to her buzzum her one point she'll clutch
how lovely and shiny, her beautiful one
and bee will admire it until this game is done.

I have a tough one for you
Mars, our dear Mars has a tough one
I'm afraid that it might be a rough one
An answer or two
from me or from you
Perhaps we can trick her and bluff one
Some of us answered "the What? light"
Some of us thought it was Hotlight
Feb 2007
DSP was in heaven
Cause Mars was our wonderful spotlight

Dear trivia friends it is time
To stop with the rhythm and rhyme
My work, I should mention
Needs time and attention
I am, after all, on their dime!
But please, dear ones, keep a-counting
and keep all those fine points a-mounting
Til I can return
and perhaps I can earn
Enough to demand a re-counting
And so I must now depart
With a heavy and distracted heart
Since my word's run amuck
And I'm out of luck
And working would only be smart
***
Two points is way better than one
I've revv'd up and joined in the fun
Planning neaker to neak
I'm now on a streak
Though I admit that I haven't quite won
Ok, Ok, I snuck back
My job all this pleasure doth lack
This game is amusing
As we are perusing
The site with the Trivia Pack

LOL Bee we need a whole thread of all your odes
The Bee needs a thread for her Odes
So her odes have a stylish abode
So time after time
As she buzzes a rhyme
There's a thread in which each can be stowed
She's quite the quippy chick.
"the bee," neaker said "is quite quippy."
"but i am incredibly nippy"
i nip in and nip out
so without a doubt
"there's more points in being quite slippery"
ok, i left you at page 75 and now you're at 98!!!!!!
she left us at page seventy-five
when neaker was barely alive
and now at ninety-eight
up-over is late
the down-unders come out of their hive
the bee is alone at this time
not even a glass of red wine
the wise ones have left
leaving her all bereft
she's thinking perhaps it's a sign
oh my lynnie, you really are the queenbee of ode. . .
lynnie, the queenbee of ode
has gone into poetry mode
and so at this time
she is speaking in rhyme
as the doctors approach her abode

In the store is Up Up and Away
The newest kit in just today
Lauren's the designer
There ain't no one finer
Than Lauren, there is just no-way
If I got a point, that makes three
Three points for a-buzzing wee Bee
She thinks she's a sneak
neaking up on the Neak
But the buzz stopped her earning point spree
The Bee now is going night-night
And out goes the little-Bee light
Hear a soft gentle snore
for her buzz is no more
And her dreams are a rhymer's delight

The Bee has arose from her napping
To see if it's tme to start scrapping
But Mars is now sleeping
So the Bee is here weeping
With her tiny wings all a-flapping..
But now it is time to start driving
To work where she does her bee-hiving
And away she will stay
from this thread all the day
Without her it will be a-thriving :(
My point count will sadly diminish
The winner will not be The Lynnish
Perhaps there's a chance
Send neak out to dance?
And I can swoop in at the finish
So Mars, have a fine day without me
If you need me, just buzz me or shout me
Cause the Bee is a-Bye-ing
The buzz is not lying
And there is no reason to doubt me

Question 113
3 points per person that writes a limerick for bee (lynnie)
***
Here is a limerick for Bee
She's a limerick writer, you see
Does she get points too?
Or are they only for you?
And the writer won't count if it's she?
Ok... a limerick writer I am NOT.... but no one said it had to bee good...
There once was a girl named Lynnie
Who loved to have tea with mouse Minnie
At work she typed letters in rhyme
Her boss did not think it devine
Our poor poor unemployed Bee
Now has more time for DSPee
A curious cat likes to climb,
so why should that be such a crime?
Don't get all upset
when your pretentious pet
meows: "Please let me have a good time."
:( I can't do trivia; I can't do limericks. Am I doomed to be a ZERO for ever????? :(
surely grandma crys has some time
for one little limerick rhyme
to please the bee
when she comes to see
maybe you could even do mine!
113.
My limerick's for Bee
And surely you will see
My little rhyme
Took little time
To get 3 points for me!
Hee Hee:D
My ode to Lynnie
There once was a girl called Formby
Who then became the Queen B
DSP is her home
And she scraps up a storm
And now we know her as Lynnie
There once was little scrapmonkey
who was in a bit of a bind you see
the challenge a rhyme
she didn't want to run out of time
And not have an ode for our Bee
There once was a girl called Lynnie
She was quite the charmer you see
Her words she would rhyme
Her scrapbooking divine
And now she is the Queen Bee

The rhymes I can do quite quickly
As long as the readers aren't fickley
Quite often I find
That the 30-sec time
Is the thing that I find the most prickley
queen bee is back in the hive
she makes us all come alive
with her antics
and tricks
we buzz and we jive
I encountered the planet of Mars
she shone brilliant among the stars
her talents were many
she gave challenge to any
and questioned with answers she knew
Now we're all stuck here like glue!!!
Oh Mars, Oh Mars, midst the planets and stars
The carpet of heaven's your frame
The comets fly by cross a dark velvet sky
All part of the empress' domain
The moon, the rings, interplanetry things
Are awed by the things that she knows
Black holes and the sun know that she is the one
Through whom all the universe flows
If you don't know yet, the whole internet
Is one of the things that she rules
The universe too, gives the empress her due
Planet Mars is just one of her jewels
And we are all here with the one we hold dear
The empress of all that we see
And we can't believe, we can't even conceive
That she's here playing games, so are we!

i am unable to write a limerick
the thought of it makes me quite sick
but for you i will try
my best to comply
but i hope you dont give me the flick
giving the flick to jill
would make me so very ill
i'd say bye bye
and you'd have a good cry
and i'd mention you all in my will
the bee buzzes off to a star
driving her little red car
with a sweet little drone
the bee buzzes home
and says "cheerio and ta-ta!"

There is this fine lady, Miss Lynnie,
She writes all these wonderful ditties.
She puts us to shame,
With her talent and fame,
And makes points grow, she’s so witty!
There was a young poster named Formby
Who hailed from most sunny Californee
She joined DSP in aught six
and shared her marvelous wit
and in 07, the dear girl was spotlit.
She joined the Elite, she made the A Team,
Her gallery's the happening scene.
With much scrapping of Princesses,
and their perfectly coiffed tresses,
with beauty, her layouts she stresses.
She's the QueenBee of rhyme and of meter
as far as the poetry goes, we can't beat her.
But to win Mars' points,
so with three she anoints,
I hope this poem won't disappoint.
She changed her username to Lynnie
Part of Team Digital she is, there's the skinny
With the odd Mod Squadder or two
She'll make us stick to the rules
because that's what the super powers do.
it will be enshrined with the others in the QB HOO
we have a cuebeehooooo?

Lynnie dear you remind me of the beautiful moon
Your clever limericks make me sometimes swoon
Your help on the forum,
Always enables a quorum,
I hope you had a great time this past June.
I know a sweet lady called Bee
She lives at DSP
I wish I was like her
She's a very fine scrapper
And everyone loves her, you see
Id love to get in the Cuebeehoo
But Im sure I dont have the talent to
P'raps this one will make it
And hopefully won't break it
'Cos then I would be in the poo
I really love my limericks!
Thank you :)

Mars wants Mandy to rhyme
before she runs out of time
But Mandy's not willing
So Neaker'll be filling
her poetical spot so sublime.
Hey Diddle Diddle
Mandy needs a riddle
To earn her 3 points in the game
Shes drawing a blank
At riddles she stank
And the riddles we make are just lame.
Although Neaker's currently first
In trivia she is well-versed
But I have a plan
To answer quick as I can
And then zoom right by in a burst
Work, of course, gets in the way
Of zooming right past in a day
I'll work out just how
Since I have to leave now
And cannot jump in on the fray

you have until the last day of the quiz... you will all bee enshrined in the Queen Bee Hall of Odes... or the 'cuebeehoo' as neaker dubbed it.
Easy-peasy! All you have to do is write a limerick about Bee (Lynnie), pm it to GrandmaCrys (me) and allow me to post it here! Practically a no-brainer! :D :D

The bee's dropping in to say hi
And drop love as she buzzes right by
She loves you a bunch
and She's just had her lunch
in case you were wondering why
There once was a girl they called Bee.
She loved digi-scrapping, you see.
She'd scrap and she'd chat,
Sometimes wear a red hat,
You can always find her at DSP!
I've been reading the poems, they're great
But perhaps we are here tempting fate
What if some other
Dropped in to discover
What talents we have on our plate
But we're part of the DSP crew
who knows what would DSP do
But I have no doubt
They couldn't manage without
Empress Mars and me and you!
Empress Marsy in the starsies
How do your planets grow
With galaxy things and startdust rings
and moonbeams all in a row

Today as I sit in the gloaming
The waterfall dazzling and foaming
Were you reminiscing ?
Did you see I was missing?
While I was a-busy a-roaming
Do you find these rhymes simply annoying?
Are my poems on your list for destroying?
Do you find them a chore?
Or would you like more?
And think they are here for enjoying
You left when I entered this forum
With speed and astounding decorum
So please, I implore
Do these limericks bore?
Or do you completely adore-em
oh yes how we missed the bee!
and the rhymes that spread such glee!
oh please come back
before you hit the sack
and make another for me!
Oh Mars! You are Here! You came Back!
With a spin and an orbit and ACK!
I glad that you missed me
Your limerick kissed me
I'm here to play sNEAK attACK!
You are the queen of the forum
With elegance and decorum
with words that astound
and meanings profound
that never could ever bore-um
This lyric is better than mine is
Perhaps we all know what the time is
For the Bee to retire
And pass on the fire
To heather, whose greater the rhyme is

Poem, by Leslie Smyers
Mars, Mars, you remind me of the stars,
All glittery and pretty,
Like the lights in the city...
Gees, I'm incredible! :)
the One has style
said with a smile
aint it grand
shes never bland
with her feminine wile
These limericks, saved for posterity
Are unlikely to bring us prosperity
But at least for a while
They'll bring us a smile
I can say with enormous sincerity
Ode To Mars
Mars works all night and sleeps all day
Churning out layouts without any pay
She has the knack
Of leading the pack
With always a kind word to say.
Lynnie the Bee has retired
And Heather the Honey is hired
Her rhyme and her meter
Just couldn't be sweeter
Perfect and completely inspired!

The count on our layouts is wrong
But has many of us singing a song
Our numbers are jumping
And thumping and bumping
As we're commenting all the day long
neaker works at sonic speed
always taking the trivia lead
with fingers fast
she's never last
Typing the answers we need
I ate the lime
I have no time,
for limericks or poetry
The days are past
my mind's not fast
And everything moves slowerly

While Mars is tucked safe in her bed
And the Trivians all lurk on this thread
It is quite a mystery
Are the questions all history
We feel the end coming in dread!
So rise up oh empress, we need you
Perhaps, if we promise to feed you
You will ask for a year
The questions we hold so dear
And whatever you say, we will heed you.
The Trivia empress, she sleeps
While the Trivia conclave all weeps
We are sensing the end
Of our trivia bend
And the empress spends time counting sheeps

Though neaker is winning by far
The DSP Trivia star
The points she has got
number, well, quite a lot
She'll smoke the winner's cigar
But I find that we've all got to win
we can leave with a big silly grin
Though points we've not earned
Look all we have learned
Next time we will be Neaker's twin!
Ah - but the game is not o'er
If Neaker will jump in the shower
Then her we can catch
And our scores will match
And we'll be the ones with the power!!
There once was a granny named Jill
WHose cheerleading gave us a thrill
They jumped up and jumped down
Never hitting the ground
And never, no never, were still
the bee of fame is back!
she makes up what I lack
for just one rhyme
I would pay a dime
and trade her for an Ack!™
Yes, yes the Bee is feeling quite wordy
But her limericks are hurdy gurdy
She's rhyming at random
And her meter's not tandem
And her logic's a little bit nerdy
No no it was not all the amplitudes
That had such an up and a downitude
Twas the cheerleading gals
That are evergreen's pals
that had all the vim and the bouncitudes!

That Honeymoon limericked away
Now she is the bard
She'll find that it's hard
To post things in rhyme every day!!
Fiona's the honeymoon Bard of the Season
She makes lovely ballads for any old reason
So come visit us
And we'll make fun and fuss
To go elsewhere would simply be TREASON!!
Question 365
First person to find the limerick Lynnie is referring to and pastes it here gets a point- so I can put it in the cuebeehoo
What the heck is a cuebeehoo???
Its where Mars is going to enshrine all the limericks for posterity.
Its QBHOO - Queen Bee Hall of Odes. But the acronym reads "cuebeehoo"
Lynnie's limerick for honeymoon

Here's the promised limerick ... in Danish :D
Vi kender Bee fra Internettet
Men I havde nok aldrig gættet
At når hun rimer
Al’ dagens timer
Hun sjældent sin blære får lettet
I'll gladly give my points for the limerick away to the one who can translate this ;) ;)
Translations:
Vi recognizing Bee from InternettetMen TO had very likely never gættetAt når she rimerAl’ todays classes She sjældent one blære
får dispersed
ROFL - what is that? Chinese?
We know Bee from the Internet
But you had probably never guessed that when she rhymes Hard pan' the day's hours
She seldom her bubble manages to lighten
Well you got the first part right. But bubble? :)
Queen Bee of the Internet
My man and I have, and you won't get
At the icy rock
Al Dagen's clock
will chime, so don't forget
Knowing Bee from the internet
I never would have guessed
Or figured she was good
At rhyming and stuff
She has to pee alot?
I don't know how close this is but here is what I found:
We know from the Internet Bee
But I would have never guessed
That when she rimer
Al 'daily hours
She rarely have relieved his bladder
:confused::confused::confused:
We know bee from the Internet
but we never would have guessed
that when she is rhyming
all day long
she rarely goes potty
is that close?
Congrats Mars, I do believe you've just gotten the first points in your own challenge.
It's close enough!
The Trivian genius has spoken
She's not on a break and's not broken
She's reading the odes
That Bee has bestowed
Til the Trivians have all awoken
The Empress is now out to lunch
And alone are the Trivian bunch
What now we must think
As we sit here and drink
Cause now it is time for the crunch!

I tried to say thank you in Rhyme
For the empress of sNEAK attACK time
I can no longer spout
A thousand rhymes out
My limericks are way past their prime!
But thank you anyway, dear Mars
From the DSP Trivian stars
We had a great time
in prose and in rhyme
And survived it without any scars!
Alas it has come to an end now
No Empress to drive round the bend now
And yes, it was bliss, it
is certain we'll miss it
And certainly miss all our friends now
But gladly we'll see one another
Particularly our Trivian Mother
Our Empress, our ruler
(we never can fool her)
Take your hat off dear friends to each other!

We’ve been Neaked, we’ve been Jenned
There’s Beryl Again
And watch out for that sneaky One
But it’s come to an end
And we’re all still friends
And Mars is just glad it is done.
Thousands of posts
Thanks to our host
Resulted in hundreds of quests
There were Odes to the Bee
The laughter was free
As we discovered why DSP’s best.
As our computer now rests
And we no longer refresh
We wonder what to do with our time
There’s housework and cooking
But we know you’re still looking
For the appearance of question or rhyme.
So our thanks goes to Mars
For sending us far
And wide on our trivia quest
She’s lead us astray
From our day to day
And now we may finally rest.

Limericks by Queen Bee from the CIJ Chats
At Christmas this thing called a Tree
Get's dolled up by someone called me
with a partridge and rings
My christmas tree sings
It's quite a great sight to see
ChristmsPresent came and visited our Chat
Cause that is where we're all AT
And presents we got
In every chat slot
When she came in wearing her hat
Once a nice empress named mars
Fell off her planet onto the stars
Ouch she then said
I feel off my bed
I'd better head off to the bars
So cathie took over this time
When muma was stuck on a dime
She jumped right in
with a "sure" and a grin!
She's one DSP member sublime!
Lovely layouts in green and in red
Posting links in the chat schedule thread
And though it's C-I-J
No layouts about the holiday
They have to be summer instead
Tina finished her fab new kit
And we can all purchase it
Fresh inspiration
at the DSP station
As we chat and we scrap as we sit
An ode to pluto is hard
there are few pluto rhymes on my card
So I sit here thinking
and slowly sinking
Less and less of a bard
mars creates amazing art
of which that drink was a part
now tipsy is bee
and cathie's off for a wee
thanks to Mars' kind heart
Tina like's being a geek
Especially in CIJ week
Buy my kits she said
And you'll get ahead
for the title of DSP Freak!
The song will haunt Carole for days
Tearing her hair out in a craze
dancing and singing
through her head it's ringing
and she's going out in a blaze
Proper credits will help when you're scrapping
But not when you're CIJ napping
We love proper links
(and lynnie loves drinks)
And you will have all of us clapping
:santa1:

It's always limerick time
Bee sometimes just speaks in rhyme
and though its annoying
it's a trick she's employing
She'll stop if you pay her a dime
Oh my dinglefraztin' blazzle snort!
and hallowe'en or christmas wart
oh heck and darn
and balls of yarn
Will get us all in cussing court
at 4am I gave up the ghost
(but sadly I was the chat host)
They showed me the door
because of my snore
which is quite a loud snore, I must boast
JD is a great one in charge
She jumps in, becomes the drill sarge
and gets us on track
and never looks back
So everyone PM thanks to Marge!
Margie, a limerick for you
Saying thanks for all that you do
For the FAB DSP
a big thanks from me
to you and the DSP crew
Margie said thanks back to Lynnie
Cause Lynnie's no DSP ninny
I write them so fast
but they aren't meant to last
So all of you grinny at Lynnie
Lynnie's the limerick pooper
and Marsy's the limerick scooper
as Lynnie writes 'em
and Marsy just sight's 'em
and thinks they are super-dooper
Lynnie coul lim in hai-ku
if she could remember what she had to do
She be hai and a ku-ing
and limerick doing
but she can't remember, can you?
Tina's giving a kit away
Ain't that great, ladies, what do you say?
you must know a word
that's what I just heard
to get that great kit TODAY
:santa1:

The chat room went down with a boom
And we couldn't get in the chat room
We had errors and issues
and out came the tissues
As we sat here in misery and gloom
The day is now fading away
the end of the CIJ day
But there's challenges to do
for me and for you
And places for us all to play!
I think that I'm going to cry
As each of us says bye bye
we chatted and laughed
and none of us bathed
And our families are asking us WHY?
We're seeking the mystery tree
who has it? surely not me
Is it out in the threads
We'll send out the feds
The tree we'll all get to see
Here is a cup of tea
For Pyewhacket and dear leslie
with some sugar and cream
the tea can be seen
it's a present from generous bee
The midnight hour has now burned
And to twelve the clocked has now turned
now pumpkins we are
so lets head for the bar
and discuss all the cool stuff we've learned
So dears, bye bye from the Bee
As she hunts down the mystery tree
to her pillow she goes
dreaming of CIJ snows
and freebies from great DSP
:santa1:

Last Night we played Bingo
And, Mars did NOT know the Lingo
Alas, the game was just not the same
until final she came up with some rhymes.
Because we all know she is the Queen of British style Bingo Lingo (could have called you a dingo Mars! be happy!)...

Mars starts us a cuebeehoo hoo...
Our limerick lines for to woo
But what she's not telling
Is these lines she's selling
To earn her a million or two
Perhaps that's an exaggeration
These won't earn a great adulation
Cept from DSP friends
Who have patience no-end
And express such nice exultation
So I threaten to hang up my pen
I'm sure some are thinking when WHEN!!
Then it's limerick time
someone asks for a rhyme
And the impulse starts over again
And though someone says it's a fiction
I have a strong limerick addiction
I try not to do it
I try to work through it
But Mars feeds this dreadful affliction
And so we have a new thread
And rhymes bounce again in my head
My fingers are glowing
Limericks are flowing
OH NO some are saying in dread...
So I'm going to scrap if I can
I'll go back to where I began
In colours I'll paint
Though an artist I ain't
At least till I think of a plan

I just found this thread
When I should be in bed
Since sleep is eluding me
I'll try to rhyme like Queen Bee
I missed 1/2 the chats
To that I say "Rats!"
I went to Austin to see
My DSP friend Debi
When I got home I went straight to bed
While visions of sugar plums danced in my head
I intended to get up early
But when I did, I found I was surly
So I slept in till 9, and then
Went to the room where the chatters had been
There were so many there it was quite a sight
I happily chatted away until midnight
My DH thinks I've lost my mind
But he doesn't know I've put him in a bind
At the store I spent much cash
At the fun fun CIJ Bash

The Start:
We've made a 2nd Christmas:
it's called Christmas in July!
If you don't understand this
and you simply wonder why,
just click the DSP site
and give it a merry try!
The Finish:
For those of you who entered
and felt July's Christmas glee,
it's time to unzip the goodies
found under the DSP tree.
Please take your cyber treasures
before they grow wings and flee!
