Foto Action Pack Vol 1 - What A Bonus!

Are you ready for another What a Bonus! Challenge? :yahoo:

For this What a Bonus! challenge we have something a little different. Please note that the following action pack is only suitable for those who use PSE7, PSCS, PSCS2, PSCS3 or PSCS4.


Foto Action Pack Vol 1 (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_109_242&products_id=10837) is the featured kit, available in the DSP store. Use this action set to get some fabulous photo effects. Check out the pack in the store for more samples.

For something a little different this round the posting bonus for this challenge will be the Sepia Foto Action Pack soon to be available in the DSP store.

This is how it works..

Buy the Challenge action pack, Foto Action Pack Vol 1 (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_109_242&products_id=10837) and use the kit to create a layout. Post the layout in the What a Bonus Gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/../gallery/showgallery.php?cat=6775), and follow the rules as below to get your posting bonus.


The rules are as follows...

1. Buy the Challenge kit from the store and create a layout with it

2. Post your layout to the What A Bonus Gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/../gallery/showgallery.php?cat=6775) and link to gallery layout in the challenge thread to receive the bonus.

3. Post your layout by midnight the 30th of July DSP time.

4. Post the link to the kit in your layout description by copying and pasting the following code.

Sorry Guys! I wish I could make them available for more versions but actions are really tricky to work with in earlier versions of PSE.

I would do scripts for PSP if I could, but I tried making brushes in it once in a PSP trial version and it well and truely did my head in! LOL

An action is a recorded series of 'procedures' in photoshop, to make repetitive tasks easier, or create easy special effects. In the instance of these photographic actions, you can run them with the click of a button (or two in PSE) quickly and easily. The actions enable you to achieve effects similar to the samples on your own photos without the long winded process or ability/skill to achieve it.

I use them quite a lot for my own photos especially with favourite effects, so I thought why not make them for those of you who might also like to use those effects.

There are instructions on how to use them included with the zip file. When I get a chance I will also write a tutorial on using actions.

You can use actions in PSE 7 and even earlier versions of PSE, but in earlier versions it is a lot more complicated. You do need to use PSE7 in edit mode to be able to use the actions, but the instructions in the zip will explain what you need to do. You do need to be sure that any action you purchase has been tested for your version software as variations from one version to the next can cause the action to not perform properly. So far my actions are all PSE7 compatible and I hope to make as many as possible if not all future actions compatible as well.
