Here we go again… MULTIPLICITY 2 starting here on OCTOBER 1, mark your spot now so you don’t miss out on all the excitement.

We have a stellar group of Designers all itching to get started on this fun ‘make a kit’ type challenge!

Here is your designer line up; we have KIM, CHRIS, ROBYN and ERICA

Watch this space for the colours chosen for Multiplicity 2.

What is Multiplicity?
It's a designer challenge with a difference that we'll run a few times a year - and it works similar to the "design with me" or pass the pixel challenges - BUT anywhere from two to four designers are going to play along at any given time!!!!

THAT means that many finished kits in the same color scheme, in the varying styles of the different designers! AND, at the end of the challenge, we'll have random draws to give away some of the kits FREE to those who participated! But you have to play along to have a chance! Also the kits will be in the store afterward.

If you've never played at a designer challenge that works in that way before, here's what to do: Look at the color scheme below and think of a theme and some backgrounds that you know would be great for it - and make your suggestions! The participating designers will be your "challengees" and we are all going to create using your suggestions and the same color scheme. Who knows what we'll pick? We might even all pick the same thing - and make it different ways - which will be fun to watch.

Here is the MULTIPLICITY GALLERY (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=7359)!

Or perhaps a (purple or is it brown?) sort of like polished cotton with a florentine design in that pretty grey.

Nice colours! Here's my suggestions :D

The indigo (or is that dark grey?) would be nice with a mottled or cloudy sort of look, maybe with a harlequin pattern with lighter shades on it.
The silvery colour would be gorgeous with pale swirls all over it.
The gold would be nice with a feathery pattern on it, maybe a velvety consistency.
The brown and red would be gorgeous kind of meshed together somehow, maybe striped.

What a great start, looking good ladies...:D

evergreen100
10-01-2009, 01:27 AM
1. Some highly textured and grunged backgrounds using any of the colours (or in combination..eg tan through the yellow)
2. Stripes or spots using 2 or 3 of the colours
3. muted floral pattern of the second colour over the first colour

Donut

Love these colors! They are so rich and will be perfect for so many types of LOs!!

* a burlap textured one in the rust color
* a medium-size wale corduroy in the gold or red
* a subtle harlequin in the gold, a bit grunged or shabby
* a muted stripe or plaid in the purple and blue, tone on tone
* a soft neutral one in the gold with tiny soft falling fall leaves (in the red and rust) here and there about the edges

Happy Anniversary Robyn!

Pretty color scheme! So many good ideas already. I'd like to see...

fabric texture paper,
something with subtle autumn leaves,
a plain-ish paper in that beautiful gold maybe with hints of the orange,
the orange color as a paper with the silhouette of a tree with bare branches on one side,
Some blend of the orange and red

Happy Anniversary, Robyn!

FOr the leafy people - how about a leaf in silver or bronzy green. Or a leafy frame or overlay.
Love the shimmer stuff - how about a slew (just such a great word!) of spilled shimmer - like eye shadow spilled froma pot in one of the funky colours.
For anyone who loves these things how about an overlay/edge or a mask of some kind.

Well, if we get to ask for things that are local then Purple Mountains with snow on top. (although I'm not sure that would make a good element )

A cluster of frames, like 5 all together or that will work together.

Ok, I have an idea for an element that I posted on one of Lauren's gimme's but somehow it wouldn't work for the kit she was working on.
The inspiration came from a necklace that I saw at a flea market.
It was a natural tumbled stone. It was wrapped in a copper colored wire. The wire was shaped in swirls and such about the stone. Then at the bottom a dangle of beads were hung from the wire. If anyone is interested I can get a link to a similiar piece.

Here are my final elements - I've had so much fun creating this kit and when we have all the kits completed we'll be looking at names but in the meantime keep those element suggestions coming.

Added elements:

* Hinged double wooden frame

* WA - Golden Days

* Old and crumpled pumpkin seed packet (for journaling)

* I also added some pumpkins, corn cob and crows to the fence.

This sounds like a fun one!! :)

Okay, it's official -- I have a BG fetish! Had already decided to buy these kits just by looking at the four sets of backgrounds and realize that's usually the deciding factor for me on most kits. And these are all GORGEOUS, ladies!

Chris, love the skeleton leaves --would like to second whoever suggested vines to go with them. Erica, I would buy that crumpled pumpkin seed packet all by itself--will be wonderful for heritage LOs and is an especially nifty journaling element IMO.

Also, great sets of multiple frames so far but would love to see some configurations in landscape instead of portrait. I take mostly landscape pictures and end up rotating frame sets, sometimes completely changing the look and also having to deal with shadows.

Robyn, I hope you haven't caught this stupid flu that's going around. Feel better.

The ideas go so fast around here!

Christine... how about a branch we could attack those leaves to. Some paint splatter or stains, some buttons that are crisp and nice to add to stuff (threaded please) for title autumn days or cool breeze... I don't know... I am not so good at that... another idea would be a border. Maybe a diecut border with leaves and pumpkins or leaves and branches.

Robin how about a square paper type (different color) border. Some leaf stamps, a mother of pearl button, leaves.. lots of different ones, and of course one of your fabulous silk flowers.
