Elizabeth I just saw your new page kit Carousel and I just love it (just love the style). Will you be doing a challenge with it as I have so many carousel pictures over the years I would love more stuff to go with it.

I have to say I have not been so excited about a page kit in a long time and of course it is in my wish list.
Since I am asking already :) if you do a challenge can it be after the 13th of October as I can't do it before then.
Thanks
Elisabeth

I wasnt' going to do one, but if you can think of enough suggestions for another kit, I will! I can come up with a couple more horses I'd think, let me know what else would be on the list for ya!

I have Carousel photos too, is this going to be a challenge?????
Oh! I have lots of carousel pictures too. :D How about a carousel top? And a frame that looks like the gold-framed mirrors in the middle?

You know the benches that the parents sit on the carousel perhaps that can be used as a frame or for journaling.
Also to make the circular bottom of the carousel (sort of like the floors in some of the kits) and we could put extracted photos or OOB on it. I hope I am making sense.
Also some carousel have other animals then horses and we could have that.

I would love to see this a challenge kit as well. A fiber fringe like you have on the horses in the kit. A braid of horse's hair, mixed with ribbons like you would see on a horse that is in a competition.

Okay let's make this a go then! I'll keep taking suggestions for the second kit here - I see at least two I considered putting in the first kit anyway - the top and the mirror frame. I wondered what you'd use the top for in scrapping, but I can do it. And I changed the mirror frame to be a third horse just because I was enjoying them so much.

I also like Mandy's idea about some fiber horse hair.
A Carousel horse stamp frame,border thingy~ lol

Oooooooh, this sounds great. I have no carousel photos, but I'm sure, with all the other suggestions here, this kit could be used for other lo's (magical or fantasy) too.
Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Well seeing as how I haven't even started on the pieces yet, I think you're pretty safe! lol, of course I will give you plenty of time. I can't even start on this this weekend; it will have to be on Monday's list. Thanks for all the great suggestions!

How about a brass ring ... the one we have in Missoula (MT) has a dragon's head and you have to reach up as you're going by to grab the rings out of his mouth. Only one is a brass ring. I have NO idea how you would do that but it's just a thought. Wonderful kit!!!!
Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Okay I am so excited about this challenge, I went to a park today and took photos of the carousel. Hopefully I can make it to all 5 (I believe) parks with a carousel in the area and get photos of each...PLUS...we have carousel horses on display all over the city! We love our carousels! :D

Neat idea, Bonnie! I should do a brass ring, maybe with ribbons. I ought google that anyway; a song I really like mentions a brass ring or a golden ring on a merry go round and I always wondered what they meant. I never saw any brass rings on merry go rounds growing up in Jacksonville, Florida. (Which is where the band is or was too - Rossington Collins, many of whom were before and since Lynyrd Skynyrd)
Anyway, I did start on this! Just haven't gotten terribly far with it yet!

yes, I remember the brass ring too. part of the grab for the gold (or brass) ring story. this is really turning out to inspire so many people, love it.

Okay can Bonnie or anyone else post a screenshot of the brass ring? I'd like to get an idea of how big it is in relationship to one of the horses (or a hand) - instead of just winging it. The ones I googled just have a tiny ring coming out of an arm looking thing on the side, nothing fancy and much smaller than I envisioned. Are they all that tiny, like you can close your hand around it?

Z - that's all I've ever seen on the carousel's that have had them.

I have wanted a carousel kit with horses and animals in it. I think I may have been the one to request that. Love what you have done. Could there be some other animals as well? Sorry if someone has already suggested that, but I don't have time right now to read all the posts. Maybe a stamp or two - ticket taker maybe?

I'm almost done - and I got so many great suggestions, but ran out of room again - so it's a full kit, not an add on pack. I may have to do an element set or something for it too though, after I get some other things done, so that I can add the other animals. I'm keeping notes!

I always loved Walter Farley's book series about "The Black Stallion" - and when I had the black horse here done, and was almost finished with the bay, and had no more kit pieces left - I remembered I should have done "Flame" too! My favorite of his books is where the Black races Flame on that deserted island with the wild horses! Total fantasy but I loved every word of it.
Anyone else read those?

Both of these turned out so great, Z. If you do end up making an element pack, I have one other suggestion! (Sorry! I'm horribly behind and just now reading this thread! :o)
How about a silhouette line of people. You know, he onlookers in the BG. You could even name one of them *Grandma*!
