We have seen 7 cases of H1N1 at my hospital just this week. I have heard it said that in my area the seasonal flu hasn't arrived, so anyone with flu like symptoms will probably have the H1N1 virus. I try not to get to excited about it. All we can really do is the common sense stuff. Cover your mouth, wash your hands alot! Stay home if you feel ill, or stay away from sick people. This virus seems to shed for 4-7 days AFTER the onset of symptoms and for a few days before the onset. (Much like other viruses). Its gonna be a long flu season.

oh, my silly, silly, wonderful kissy friends! we're okay! it's really not been THAT awful - though i heard on the news last night that our county has had it's first h1n1-related death... for us, the fever/sore throat/headache were the worst symptoms... the girls seem mostly better, but have to wait 24 fever-free hours before returning to anything... molly is still at about 100 this morning (though she always runs high). i am just SOOOOOOO praying that we washed enough hands to avoid the boys (and the mom and dad) from contracting it... incubation period seems to be about 5-7 days...

but. back to your regularly scheduled make-out session......... hmmmmmmmm.... what SHALL we do with the rest of our year????!!!

yes, i hear that she did have some chronic health issues... she was only 40! don't know much... but from what i've learned (and you know this), h1n1 can complicate respiratory complications with people who have asthma or other breathing problems.... we are really concerned about my nephew who was visiting last week... he has pretty serious asthma and has been having lots of wheezing lately. in fact, jeff (my brother) was the first call i made on leaving the urgent care center..... the thing i'm dreading is that the boys will come down with it at the very end of the incubation window... and we'll have to do it all again.....
