Somebody asked this question in the "What is the CAFE? thread" thought I would share it hear to clarify....
"So Nicole... do I understand it right.... if you ( mean the general you.. not YOU.. lol) to do your challenge every week, then your only having to buy the FEATURED KIT, because you will have received the coordinating kit (the same one that is in the value collection) the week before. So really, only this first challenge are we needing *ok.. not NEEDING.. but you know what I mean* to buy the value collection in order to have both kits. Is that correct? Or have I lost my mind... again."

And the answer is YES! That is EXACTLY right!!!!

Ok, let me see if I have this correct. If we buy the Chasing the Wind Value kit then we get the Vintage Memoirs 2 kit for free for the posting bonus, which goes with the next challenge. Then to do the next challenge we need to purchase the Vintage Memoirs Page kit. Will the posting bonus be the 3rd kit in the Vintage Value kit, or a kit for the next challenge. As you can see, I'm totally confused.

yes that what I understand after reading three times lol you will get the bonus for the next challenge so you dont have to buy the complete kit just the kit page for the next challenge

Renee, the posting bonus for Memoirs Page Kit would be the kit for the NEXT challenge... so basically if you do every week's challenge, your only having to buy the ONE featured kit... and at the end of the challenge you would have both kits, plus her blog freebie if ya get that! Your not having to buy the value kit each week.. only this first time to start off. Or... if you didn't do the challenge the week before....

I think I see where I got confused. The value kit has two complete kits. For some reason I was thinking there were three. The main kit, the bonus kit, and what used to be the blog freebie (an extra add on kit) So not all value kits have three kits, some have two. Did I get it right this time?

Hey guys! SOrry about the confusion. The CAFE challenge Value Collections will always contain exactly 2 kits! And the kit you receive as a bonus will be for the following weeks CAFE challenge. So you would only buy the featured kit that next week.....
Example:
This week: Chasing the Wind....get Vintage Memoirs 2 FREE
Next week: Vintage Memoirs....get Such and SUch 2 FREE
3rd week: Such and Such...get This and That 2 FREE
4th week: This and That.....get....you get the idea.....LOL

And KiwiMeg, I am so sorry you dont like the new format. I really try to make sure that I am doing whats best and I hate seeing someone disappointed!
I can promise you though, that it will NOT always be ploppers! In fact, it will probably only once in a while be ploppers! I have plans to giveaway stamps, overlays, alphas, etc.
I really hope that makes it better for you :)

Ohhh I wanted to warn you guys (or remind you more like it!) If you are doing THIS challenge DO NOT buy the full Value Collection for Vintage Memoirs! As you are getting the second kit in it! You only need to buy the Vintage Memoirs kit one for next week! :)

Yup, I nearly messed up today! I wonder how others do it, so that they don't buy kits that they get in challenges, when they are shopping. I was adding to my cart today and wondering if those that I was adding are things that I'll already end up getting as a bonus.... so I never "checked out" in the store because well.... because. LOL. How do you all keep from having that happen?

I will let someone else answer this, as this is the first time that the bonus is available prior to the end of the challenge. I know other designers do this, so I hope it works out. Otherwise, I will put the next week's challenge pieces in closer to the start of the challenge (like Thursday or Friday) I just wanted you guys to have a chance to start checking and getting next week's kit if you were ready :)
