Before I commit myself to a class I would like to know how/when they will be held. Is it a chat thing? Will we be sent instruction, guidelines? Is there somewhere on this site that can give me more information?
Thanks

My elements class will consist of a long tutorial each week and a scheduled chat time to discuss the tutorial , there will be homework that should be completed as well for each class - it will start with a lesson which really goes back to basics to make sure everyone has all the knowledge necessary to complete the further steps

Has anyone ever thought of trying to use Webex or a similiar tool for training/ support? I would be more apt to take a class with this vs. the chat. I just have a hard time getting use to the chat format. I use Webex where I work to train and support our clients on accounting software and all who have tried have liked it. They can see the exact software and exactly what you are doing on the screen. Just a thought...would increase cost of class, but might be worth it.

Increase in cost & decrease in frustration :p I too have a hard time with the chat but I'm learning and being patient cuz i figure I'll get it eventually :)

I was wondering these same things ! If I understand correctly, we will receive the tutorial, probably by download (hopefully a couple of days ahead), then be able to read it over and the come to the chat with questions. Is this right? Sounds good to me. Thanks for answering Lauren, I will be signing up for your class!

You are right Sallie - Im writing the classes now - I am hoping that we can offer then in printable format as well as on screen - you will have a few days ( perhaps 4 ) and then we will have a chat if you have an questions - timing with chats is always an issue so the chat will not be compulsory - the basis of the lessons will be in tutorial format . To keep the costs down to a minimum I think it is the best format that we can do - I will also be available by email for questions if you cant make it to the chats -

We will make the sure the tutorials are in printable format. We will also be making all of the quick classes available in printable format in the next few weeks (that's one of my projects while i'm traveling :D)
