I had so much fun working on these!!!! Both are already in the store so the challenge is going to be a little different this time.

Use either kit and get a bonus - only I haven't decided what the bonus will be yet. Any suggestions? I'm thinking it doesn't really need an aop or a backpack - but thought I might make an overlay stacks set or a crazy stamped alpha?

Or, it can be something totally different - anyway, whatever we decide on, I want it to be useful for other than with these sets, because, after all - if you do the challenge, you've already done your layout. Make sense?

So help me put on my thinking cap. Quick click? Another kit?

I have some overlays coming up that you might like, but they aren't done yet - anyway..... I'll wait and see what you all think!

Let's give this a deadline of November 7 - a little over a week and a half. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Z, these are awesome kits! I just saw them in the store and thought, "I have to get those!" Great colors and great grungy style. (Although, I have to admit, when I saw just the title, I was hoping it was going to be an ancient Egyptian kit...heeheehee. But this is far better!)

no, please, please no alpha but yes, an AOP with something like an overlay perhaps?
or some green fern leaves to soften the general look. I find fern leaves or vines always add a touch to it and most of my layouts contain something greenish, hehe. I won't have time to join the challenge but hopefully I can buy it later if it's available. Love the kit and lol, I normally never ever comment on kits or leave a comment, haha. Artifacts is like the answer to a prayer! Artsy, quirky, creative, different and full of possibilities.

but yesssss, overlay stacks....or an old urn stamp or element, or old parchment realistic looking, or an old book page perhaps
or some dried petals
or some old metal chain - nothing delicate, but heavy and rusty,

I think these kits are great for some boy lo's, so....something for that purpose written on the overlay (corner or border) would be great!

Yah, that they will! And I'm thinking I'll sneak them into the value collection too.

So do you all prefer to get the whole collection at once, and recieve a bonus that's unrelated altogether? Ideas for that please! We have several options of packaging the value collections but once we've done it we can't add to the VC - so I can either wait until after the challenge and package it up all at once - or package it first and then offer an unrelated bonus.

I did it this way this time because one kit is definitely enough to create a layout, and also the way the sale worked out if anyone wanted both it was as cheap as a VC anyway, or close to - I didn't actually do the math. But that won't always be the case, so I'll wait to hear from you all as to preferences.

Actually I really like the style too. I've a Christmas set in the works in a similar fashion. I hope with all the inky grunge and distressing it doesn't come across as irreverent to the meaning of the holiday; the colors just lent themselves to the style.

I only bought these kits earlier today and already they have made themselves into a LO:yahoo:!!! The kits are so exciting and such fun to play with, in fact I played all afternoon when I SHOULD have been preparing for our son and family"s arrival tomorrow:eek:...oh well, they are family, they can make up their own beds, right?:D

Well Debbie I need to get busy and make another kit, that's what! lol...
I wish I could get myself to stick to a schedule of challenges once a week like most of the other designers - but some weeks I just like to scrap - often with their designs because all of their work is so beautiful too! So I don't make myself do one every week. However, watch this space, there is something up my sleeve for soon.
