Hi, I'm new here. Just finished the first free tutorial. I was so excited and doing great until adding the font. It was downhill from there after trying to add the comment box, fill it with color, and try to add the dropshadow. My PSP 9 doesn't seem to respond to the keystrokes listed. I used "Help", but after a couple of hours of playing with it, I got frustrated and quit. Will there be tutorials for version 9? I'm so used to MS Publisher, that I see this will be quite the challenge. I'm computer savy, so this is extra frustrating. Any suggestions?

Hi, I know how frustrating this can be, changing from one program to another!!
What exactly are you having problems with?
Are you creating your text as a vector/selection? All those little things make a difference on how you can "play" with your text.
Please let us know.
There are a lot of tut's for V9, and most all of V8 tuts work for 9..
Here is a site which has almost everything you could ask for of PSP.http://www.psplinks.com/content/Text_Effects.html
:)
Hi, Busymom. I'm sorry, I must have missed this before! That link Tracey gave is a great one, tons of resources (good to see you, Trace!)
I wrote the PSP tutorial, and v9 isn't too much different. In fact, when it first came out it was a little disappointing it didn't have more new upgrades.
The only keyboard shortcuts in there are for choosing tools, like hit t for the Text Tool, or o for the Object Select Tool, which are the same in v8 and v9.
It's been awhile, so hopefully you're not too frustrated anymore. Let us know the specific figure number or instructions that tripped you up, and we'll help from there. Hope this helps, be sure to update us on how it's going!
And welcome to DSP!
