I'm bummed I won't have a chance to play very much in the DSP 6th birthday celebration...
I'm bummed I will miss the Beatles' POP Symphony presentation on Friday...
I'm bummed I might not get to check in and see your terrific layouts over the next week and a half....
BUT....
I'm thrilled to be going to England!
I'll be seeing the real Troggs play in Salisbury on Friday instead of the Beatles tribute band!
I'll get to meet Jill! (Greenfingers) at the cathedral - the one I just stared up at and cried last time, it was such a cool place. If you're interested, see my cathedral layouts here (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=289458&ppuser=18691) and here (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=289457&ppuser=18691) and I had my sunglasses on so you can't see that I was tearing up, lol! But the spire is reflected in the mirrors on it - my daughter took the picture.
I'll catch up on all your lovely layouts when I get back, if I don't get online while I'm gone, because this one will run through the end of the month!
So - you know what to do. Buy either of the Bits of Memories Past kits, or the Value Collection, and use it in a layout posted to the DSP galleries by March 31st.
You are welcome to have it do double duty with any other challenge, so it doesn't have to be in my Elizabeth's Extras Gallery - but if you're not doing double duty you may put it there with my thanks. You all make my gallery look so good!
The bonus is another set of masks - this time not full page size, so there are 8 in the set. Great for layers under photos, or use them for the photo itself. You can see some of the last few layouts in my gallery to see how I've been using these and other masks; they are so much fun.
Here is the featured product, and below you can see the masks! If I don't get to check in while I'm gone, I'll see you all when I get back at the end of the month! Love ya!

The Bits of Memories Past set was created using YOUR suggestions in a Dezign with Z challenge - and I've been packing ever since, so I haven't done a layout with these yet! I know you'll inspire me though!

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! Well, physically anyway. Mentally I'm still miles and miles away. But I'm trying to catch up here!
I have to tell you the funniest thing I saw: In the New Forest, which is at the south of England near Southampton, (I think the Titanic docked there before leaving for her journey; can't recall). Anyway, that's not the funny part, obviously. The New Forest has towns in and around it, or villages, or whatever they are, I only remember one - Lyndhurst - well a friend drove me down there and after a while all along the side of the roads I saw ponies. Not in a pasture, or fenced in anyway, so I finally said, "What's with all the horses?" He said they are wild ponies and they are just everywhere there, even in the towns! I mean we drove through Lyndhurst and there would be a pony on the pavement in front of someone's address, or business, and a litle further up the pavement (meaning sidewalk) there would be another few ponies, it was so bizarre! The only thing I can think to compare it to is squirrels, only they weren't in the trees of course. So the wild pony is something of an icon of the New Forest and they are on all the postcards of the area. I'm so glad I got to see them!
Gillian was delightful, of course! I enjoyed her company so much. She pointed out several things to me in Salisbury that I hadn't seen before and wouldn't have, as a tourist! Like tucked away inside a department store with a modern store front - way back hidden somewhere is an Elizabethan age area which is a tearoom/cafe! With the old timbers showing and all - very quaint. I'd never ever have seen that or even thought to look! She treated me to lunch in a very old place call the Haunch of Venison and I had sausage and mash and it was delicious! We spent some time in the cathedral as well; I didn't weep this time but it still impressed me very much.
Okay, so I'll go through and look at all the lovely layouts, but there is still a little time on this one so if you haven't bought the set get it on sale during birthday week and let's see those layouts! Thanks!

Welcome back, Z! Sounds like you had a great trip. Love the pony story and can't wait to see some photos. I think the wild ponies still roam free in Corolla on the Outer Banks of NC. But that's on a beach. I can't even imagine them wandering through town!

If y'all think I'm sleeping, I probably am! The pollen I think has got me down - I don't feel sick but I am tired all the time. Hopefully it's temporary. I am working on a value collection that I like very much but I keep falling asleep at my desk! I hope that doesn't mean it's boring!
I can sometimes wake myself up by doing a few layouts so I've been playing a little. You know we designers sometimes feel guilty if we stop creating long enough to do a layout - or I do, anyway. It makes me feel like I'm not working!
