View Full Version : Using Text in PSE2?
I was wondering how everyone puts their text for journaling boxes and titles onto their layouts in PSE2. I used the text tool and if you have many lines of journaling it takes a long time because you have to enter each line seperately. Then I changed my mind on the font and size, this meant redoing each line and lining them all up again. So I tried writing my text in WORD and copying and pasting it to PSE2. This worked better but the font and size did not move with the paste to PSE2. So I still had to make adjustments. I don't mind doing it this way but just wondered how everybody else was adding text to PSE2, especially large amounts for journaling.

i usually do my typing in a WP program and then cut and paste it. I usually just make it 3x bigger in the WP program and it comes out the perfect size after i paste it.
HTH!
Just hit Enter at the end of the line where you want the wrap. It's not as nice as the PS function that automatically wraps lines, but it's better than doing one line at a time! The only real drawback is changing the wording, you have to redo all the Enters to make things wrap correctly again. I change my wording a lot, so this is a pain. But again, better than one line at a time!
You get used to it, and I'm pretty fast at redoing my line breaks when I change wording. It's not like I'm writing a term paper this way!

I might be wrong...but i think you can hold down the mouse when you are in text mode and draw out a journaling box and it will automatically wrap.
You can't drag a text box in PSE, only PS. PSE text works similarly to PSP where it just types one long line unless you hit Enter to manually line break. It's a pain, but not too hard to get used to.
