Now, someone who has experience with DIP10 can probably help me... I've only played around with the trial version.
When I go to print photos in DIP10 they print out too dark, and not as it appears on the screen. When I take the same file and print it in Photoshop (PSE2) it prints exactly fine. Same file or photo, same paper, same printer, same resolution...
How do I adjust the print settings in DIP10 so that it prints as I want it to?
It would be a bit frustrating to save everything and then open PSE 2 every time to have it printed...

I'm not sure what the problem is, I've used DIP 10 since it came out with no problems. Since it works fine in other programs it's likely not your printer. Maybe check with Microsoft and see if they have any ideas.

Do you think it may because it is a trial version - i have the full version of DIP10 and never had a problem?
This was taken from digital image pro 10 help
Why don't the colors on paper match the colors on my monitor?
If the colors of your printed project look uneven, your printer:
May be low on color ink or toner.
May not be able to print subtle gradientsA gradual blending of the shades of a single color (such as from light to dark) or from one color to another..
May only be able to print text in a few basic colors.
To learn more, see the User's Manual.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To fix the problem:
Check the ink or toner levels.
Check the ink or toner cartridge levels in your printer. If they are low or empty, replace them, and then try printing again.
Increase the color difference.
Even though a gradient fill or pattern may look fine on your screen, your printer may be unable to produce all the subtleties of the gradient. Try increasing the difference between the two colors or shades you are using.
Use shaped text.
On some color printers, text color is limited to black, white, or six basic colors. As a result, your text may print in the wrong color. Try entering the text as shaped text, which is actually a graphic. Graphics sometimes print in a wider range of colors.
If you were having printer colour/monitor colour issues i would suggest you go to the control panel/adobe gamma - However this is not a prob as you have stated it is fine using another program??

I wouldn't think the trial version would make a difference as it is the full version, which just needs registering.
The printer works fine for everything else. Just the same file prints darker in DIP10 than it does in PSE2.
I'll see if Microsoft have any ideas.
Thanks.
