Having an issue with fonts

I have been doing psp for several years but have found something to stump me for the first time in a long time. I have version 9, and store my fonts in a folder in my documents folder to not slow my psp down. When I open the fonts & then open psp to use those fonts, they don't show up in my drop down menu of font styles. Any suggestions?

Is this new behavior? Have you updated your OS with patches? I think Photoshop is different than Paintshop, but with Photoshop you have to open the font file and then start Photoshop.

You might have to open PSP first and then go to the folder that holds your fonts, at least I have to do it that way.

I tried both ways, no luck *sigh* I've done the auto updates through Windows.

I tried going to the folder from the browse tab inside psp but the folder shows as being empty.
