Kay has been nominated to be the first person to have her name written on the Wall of Honor.

Kay is the founder of the Grannie Thread and is responsible for the formation and bonds of many many friendships both in real life and on-line across the globe.

Through the GT members, staff and designers have been able to celebrate, pray, mourn, cry, laugh, splutter and leak together and most of all to support each other.

Who would have thought that all those years ago that she was starting something that has had such a huge impact on so many lives.

Well done and deeply heartfelt congratulations to you Kay. So very well deserved.

I share the honour with all the wonderful Grans and GITs that have come and gone over the years and especially with all of those that have stuck around since page 1 ..you are all so close to my heart :love3::love3: The friendships formed in the GT are just phenomenal and being a member of the DSP family is the most special feeling EVER !!. Carti it is just because it's new and the thread was temporarily moderated while it was getting set up which just means posts have to be 'approved'. It shouldn't take too long to see your post and the whole thread should be open soon.

I so agree that this is the right person for this honor. Kay didn't JUST start the phenom of the Granny Thread, she has been there through thick and thin in her OWN life to keep the love, threads, and humor flowing. Kay, you are absolutely the ONLY person who should receive first honors. So many wonderful DSP people to choose and I know the wall will be filled with names of those who truly deserve to be honored.

But the pebble you threw into the pool when you started the GT has had more wonderful consequences than any of us could have possibly predicted. Added to that, you are a dear and beautiful person, an old soul with a gentle heart, courageous in the face of adversity, enjoy a wonderful sense of humor, and are forever humble.
