I've left this off too long - now I want your help!

I want to make a second kit to coordinate with Sweet Daydreams (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_18&products_id=12453) - so it can be a value collection in these nice soothing summer colors.

If I make your suggestion you win the finished kit! Which means up to twelve people can win it. Let's get started! Give me your background and element suggestions, and remember I want it to coordinate with the page kit shown below; I've been asked to expand it! Thanks!

dragonfly
sparkle trail
vintage garden/floral stamp, maybe like the ones on a seed packet
nosegay of tiny flowers
fireflies
stamped edge of fine leaves or vines
deckle edge vintage paper frame with gold etching

Sit in reverie and watch the changing color of the waves that break upon the idle seashore of the mind. - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Dreams take you along while you sleep, but you can choose your daydreams and follow them.

Open your eyes and dream.

OK, backgrounds:

- a green one with just a gentle hint of some leaves in some places
- that darkest burgundy color on the palette with spots and splatters and maybe just barely there golden sprinkles

Elements:
- a square frame, maybe thinner than the round one, with ornaments (graphic style - no shadows)
- another large flower to coordinate with this one - maybe in the lighter creamy colors
- just a thin ornamented line (like those tiny elements on the edge of the round frame)

BGs - the deep red/pink with little gold curlicues like on the round frame decorating the edges, sort of shabby not tidily.
- the sage green with water colour droplets of the other colours splattered on it.

- a daisy chain ( or similar small dainty flower)

Oooooh SO excited. I love this kit!

papers:
A sage green paper with gold edging
a raspberry (the darker pink) bg with faded cream damask or light pink with faded raspberry damask
The darkest gold with sage grunge

elements:
A butterfly
Another flower with large petals in the gold with raspberry edges and smaller inner petals in cream with the lighter pink edges. KWIM? LOL
A 2 or 3 picture frame with very thin gold borders
A wire saying "dreamer" with beads like the cluster scattered along it
A journaling stamp in gold with a flower and swirls
A jeweled brad
Another barcode saying "summer"
A sage stamp of leaves and swirlies to put behind the flower.

I love the Sweet Daydreams kit, and it will be lovely to see it expanded into a Value Collection.

Organza ribbon in that luscious raspberry color. Maybe with a bow.
A thin rectangular frame with the same pretty ornate pattern on it
A scatter of the jewels

What about a deep pink embossed paper, a plain paper with a faded/overlayed floral corner/cluster, a paint stroked frame, a sprinkle of petals or a little topiary tree?

Betsyfru

A grungy harlequin paper, green & gold tones
a sprinkle of glitter in green & gold

How about some leaves to go with that flower. Say more green with just a touch of the pink. Maybe with curled over edges.

This is one of my favorite kits! The colors are so pretty!

I'd love to see any kind of paper-style frame.

I love your recent word art quotes. What about this one (for this kit or another)

“Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.” - Epicurus (Greek philosopher, BC 341-270)

Maybe a scatter of bling similar to the dangles in this kit

Can't wait to see what you do!

hey Z! excellent kit to make a companion for ;)
papers... something green and a very light or white BG with paint splotches around the edges.
Overlay- with swirly, leafy motif, maybe incorporating a square border line, grunged up, with a word included in the border, dream or dreamer or daydream perhaps.
or a grunged up grid overlay.
elements- a paintbrush of some sort, since you have a paint spatter and paint chip already.

Wow!!!! You all are ON it! Lots of great suggestions; can't wait to tackle them!

Oh, Z! This is one of my most favorite kits of yours and I LOVE that you're adding to it!!

papers---
-a green one with a (faint) crackle paint finish, maybe with the darker golden color as the "crackle" part
-a somewhat plainish one in the brownish (3rd color from left on paint chip element) or the one to it's right, with some tonal smudges

elements--
-a jeweled...dragonfly or cricket or bee? to partner with the beetle
-a line/swash like the Ring Frame from this first kit
-some loose sequins
-leaves for the flower
-thin golden stitching
-a "spray" of thin golden threads
-a hanging paper upc code tag, either blank or with "wonderment" or something
-a squarish paper frame made with the paint chip type paper and lifted on the corners like it
-I've always loved JK Rowling's (Dumbledore's) line "It does not due to dwell on dreams and forget to live." don't know if you can use that or if it really works here or not, but I like it...

A journalling paper with paint spattered edges
A swirl of sequins
A quill pen

I really like the color of green in the frame in this kit.
Maybe a paper that mimics that frame in some way. The green with some golden embossing along an edge or corner.
Maybe a stamp that says wish or wishes.

some tan tags folded

Okay, here are three backgrounds, as suggested by TalyQ, Shana, and Betsyfru. I will wait until doing the elements to see if it needs one more background.

So we're going darker on this one - that's fine; all the elements from the first kit will still go with this nicely! Now I'll go back and read your element suggestions - thanks so far!

I have two frame ideas: 1) a series of circle or oval wires with the crystals forming holes for two or three photos and 2) either a rectangle frame or a full panorama frame matching the circle frame from the first kit.

I love Mars' quote: Dreams take you along while you sleep, but you can choose your daydreams and follow them.

I also like Shana's ideas of a golden journalling stamp and another barcode, but maybe it could say "Sweet Dreams".

To go along with the paint drops, how about some paint smears/swipes/smudges?

A companion flower to the one in the first kit, but in the lighter colors and with rounded petals.

And if you are taking requests, I would love to see the Jungle Love turned into a VC too!!

And now I've done Shana's request for the circle and beads, and Lookthrshegos' suggestion of "wishes" on a barcode.

I'm really enjoying this - you all have made some terrific suggestions and I'm loving it! When I finish this one look for a new design with Z because you have me going big time! I needed the jump start, too, so thanks!

Here are the overlay/edge as suggested by Mars and Stitch, and the multi frame as suggested by Shana and I think I've chosen my last two to work on. However! I've gotten so many good suggestions with this one that I can almost go another kit. Do we want three total kits in this color scheme? I'd love to do a few of these suggestions I won't get to in twelve pieces.

This is gorgeous! A new VC would ROCK!!!

How about a beautiful curling vine with leaves, or a long beaded charm dangling from a gold chain (maybe the charm could be a star or heart?).

MaryElizabeth

How about.....
- a cute bird maybe in a golden wire cage?
- floral postage stamp
- some wire words
- shiny metal buttons or bevelled brads

Elisabeth

Still working on some of the early suggestions - so don't worry if I haven't gotten to some of the later ones yet!

Taly's single frame with skinnier gold and deco'd. The butterfly - which I'd have to go back and see who the first person is who asked for that. (edit - it was Shana) And two backgrounds; not sure I followed directions on any but I'll check. The overlay was suggested by Michelle - but I think I'll switch it to the kit with the darker backgrounds, as the words (dream love believe) don't show up on these two.

How about a swirly brush sort of thingy in the deep pink,
a splotchy swirly spray of gold leaf,
a decoupaged label or advertisement image or other vintage ephemera,
a small frame like a cracked piece of watch glass with a gold rim,
a gradient flower brush element.

Okay I wore myself out tonight getting stored boxes out of a sweltering attic, but I'll get these zipped and out to the recipients soon! Thanks everyone!

I'm starting a challenge with my new VC that's already in the store - you don't have to use the whole VC; either kit will do. I'll get that going in a minute, but I still need to make the bonus!

OMGosh, Z, these are fantastic! I love everything, but especially that butterfly, that flower stamp, and the harlequin paper you made from my suggestion!
