woo-hoo! potential boy colors!!!
you know I LOVE your small diamonds paper from Aqua Anise---(in fact you can go ahead and note that down for all future what nows as "my usual" because I will always request it!) and since the walls in the picture have a diamond pattern....I request a paper like that!
-a blue or the green with tonal thin stripes like in the balloons
-the green with a tonal leafy pattern--not too crowded

In the background there is a gold harlequin pattern.. can you do that in say a light tissue type paper.
and, I'd love another of your papers - it is slightly smaller than your 12 x 12, with the ruffed up edges (Vintage Summer Time) BUT THIS TIME IS A SOFT BLUE - maybe slightly lighter in color than the swatch.
Hmm, I'm wondering if the gold could be a like a crown moulding type of overlay..
What I loved about this photo - is not just the colors - but the textures.. Just_pjz is picking them out.. I see the background.. .. I love it..
I can't see what other suggestions come out of this one..

I'd love to see a light tan paper with the darker ruddy color in a faint scallopy type border (kinda like on the light fixture).., I can't describe it well /sigh

Also, Erica, the balloons have like a crumpled look because they aren't fully blown up..
maybe one of the papers.. could have a crumpled paper look like that..

Or another way to go on the papers - is a travel kit.. where one paper has say a
road off in the distance with a pale blue sky.. very lightly stamped into it
another paper maybe has a road map.. of anywhere doesn't matter, it would be light enough to just evoke the thought of travel
another could be a paper with a large building - I know we are from all parts of the world but maybe like the Eiffel tower...again... light stamp..
Another paper could be words across the page... in say a hand written travel journal.. .

Ooh, I love the ideas of a boy kit or a travel kit! I love the tissue paper idea too! What about something in bold stripes? There are lots of converging lines in the photo; what about a paper that had stripes starting in one corner and curving out like in the balloons?

I second, third, fourth the idea of a "diamondy" background paper, just like the walls.

I agree with the diamond paper suggestions in the tan with the reddish brown for thin accents. Maybe a light tan paper with green and blue squares? I love the two papers so far!! Can't wait to see how this comes along. :D

how about a paper with some of the melon color in it. Maybe a harlequin paper with some stamps of that melon color aroung the edge.

Love the ideas for a feature on a paper! (road map, eiffel tower, etc). I was thinking along the same lines.....
Roman Pillar - inspired by the 2 vertical panels in the background with architrave effect top and bottom
Clouds? Maybe they would be better as embellishments.
Silhouette of branchy tree blowing in the wind - ah, not sure why, it just came to mind regarding the hot air balloons....
The papers so far are great!! By the way, hullO, this is my first post

mm maybe a wicker basket in the tans/browns and some pretty blue flowers to use inside or separate from the basket
maybe some bits of torn scrap papers with faded writing on them, to use in clustering or something
a faded paper frame, maybe bent at a corner
a colourful photo mat, with a blend of the green/blue/tan in muted tones

oh, pretty papers Erica..
and, Fee you are on a creative roll.. love your suggestions..
I was thinking of a green like verdigee frame like in the window.. maybe panes of glass
I'd love like an overlay or smaller paper with writing on it.. like script. doesn't matter what it says (as long as it isn't bad words Erica!)..
I'd love some sort of border or edging like to put along one edge of the papers.. like a very very light weave of the wicker
just a few strands.. some not quite attached.. KWIM.. or an interlacing of the balloon strings..

I'm feeling very creative at the moment, which is terribly unfortunate for the academic paper I'm poorly writing. I should just work on my trendsetters LO but this paper is due tonight. /sigh
and an overlay is a great idea. I love overlays.
I can picture a script overlay, maybe sort of grunged up in spots, with bits of handwritten poetry along one edge and flowers and swirls coming up from the bottom
I don't know that I'll be helpful as I am requesting rather than offering (no creative juices here, it's been too hot, over 100 degrees for a week now). I absolutely love the papers, the blue with the soft edge together with the stripe is wonderful. For elements I'm always searching for boys themes age 7 and 5 that are not toys. Its hard to find elements that are not flowery. I hope this kit will apply to very spirited boys like my grandsons.

oooohhh! just gorgeous, Erica! love those colors!
-some twine--the texture/type of your parcel string from Going Places VC
-some journal strips, stapled or stitched together
-some hanging tags, colored or plain, metal rimmed or not
-some tarnished rivets
-some strips of fabric in any of the colores, fastened on one end
-pinwheels

a window like the one in the picture
Papers look good - I like the "stripey" one
I'd like to see
a hot air balloon (yes, taken straight from the image)
a fluffy cloud that looks slightly stormy in nature (not the cutesy white cotton ball type)
and
a rectangular window frame that has three panes - open with cross supports ~ fixed glass pane ~ open with cross supports
sort of like this
http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs106.ash2/38645_424160402565_841667565_4787144_2020150_n.jpg
I want to be able to use a window like that to thread something between the frame and the open window, and still have things in the distance outside the glass
hope that makes sense

A gold flower shaped brad to match the bottom of the light fitting
stripy brads to match the baloons
a curly ribbon like the stripes in the stripey paper

What about a compass as an embellishment? Could be either black outline style, like a stamp, or a real looking one in beige-gold and cream...

Looking good!!!! You're so talented Erica! I tried to make some kits once, but there's so much I don't know how to do.
I love that balloon! It would be a great element on any boy page! Not that I have boys, but you know, if I did. :p

A smile is the light in your window that tells others that there is a caring person inside.
Clouds
Sheer sunshine overlay (not a kid sun, but a real looking sun with rays)
Fluttering, sheer curtain
