I have a blank 12x12 file I open to work with. When I open it, DIP10 scales it to 18%.

My question:
Is EVERY element I bring in (pics, tags, letters) now going to be scaled down to 18%? If not, how do I keep it all in the same scale?

I ask because when I import some graphics for use they are tiny. The origional file is not.

This is one of the mysteries of DIP. I have no idea how it determines what size to import things at! I'll set up a 12x12 page at 200ppi and bring in a 200ppi 12x12 background (which should fit exactly right on the page) and sometimes it is too small and sometimes it is too big.

Now - have said that - I have adjusted by backgrounds and embellishments to fit on my page to the size of my liking and have still gotten great results with printing.

Go figure!

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Maybe someone who uses DIP more can chime in!

Thanks for responding! I was concerned about over stretching the elements and degrading print quality. I've taken to blowing my pages up to 100% and scrolling to see each picture to make sure it's all ok. Kind of a pain but so far so good.

I *think* the 18% is just the amount that DIP scales it so you can view the whole thing on the monitor. I don;t believe it has anything to do with the element size.
