Curious to know if anyone else has succumbed to owning an iPad and whether you have scrapped on it?

I've just downloaded Filterstorm and Coolibah to have a play and see if there is anything I can do with them.... The iPad versions of Photoshop is terrible LOL

What do you iPad owners DO on your iPad other than surf the web?

I surf the web, I email, I watch movies (using my netflix on demand account), I play games, I read magazines...... for me, it's just a toy to help waste time away when Im hanging out in the hospital, bored to tears at my parents in between hospital visits, etc etc... I love my ipad.

I did try Coolibah... but eh, I gave it up mighty quickly.

I also like to change my desktop screen all the time, using my layouts for it.

The iPad is awesome but for scrapping it well, sucks !!!!
Tried Coolibah and I also gave up pretty quick.

I will be very interested in the responses. I have not purchased an iPad because I was unsure about what you actually can do on them other than surf, get mail etc. Can you really digiscrap on them?

Well, I'm going to give some of the photo editing software a go, just need to put a few kits onto the iPad today to try out.
Filterstorm is amazing for photo editing... Considering it's all done by finger, it's really impressed me so far!

you going to use your own kits/dsp or are you going to use the kits on coolibah? I couldn't figure out how to use my own stuff that I already have..

Oh, that's easy!

I created a folder in my "My Pictures" called "iPad" and in iTunes I set it to sync That specific folder.
Every time I want to add stuff, I make a new folder on my computer, in that folder and fill it up.
When I sync the iPad it copies across all the images I've added.
Easy!!!!!!

Found a way to justify the purchase - husband can watch football games just like on TV while I take pictures for digiscraping. Has anyone tried Filterstorm or Coolibah yet? If so, what was the outcome.

I too am keen to know the outcome of DigiScrap on iPad

I have one and I'd love to be able to scrap on it. So far all I seem to do is surf the net, email, play games, write up notes in the middle of the night, start work on documents then email them.

Would love to use it to it's full potential though.

i use several programs to digi ipad scrap. one of the app is called artstudio, and the other is artrage. you can do a lot on them. you can mask, and lift out backgrounds, and save them as .png's to save the transparency. Both of them are excellent programs. most folks with ipads do way more than just surf the web. I love my ipad.

I am attempting scrapbooking on my iPad. My favourite right now is Skrappy. Coolibah was a waste of time. I like Album App, but it crashes way too often.

Skrappy allows you to do layers, making, videos, voice overs, add music, websites, clip art and more. You can create tempate themes to use again.

Photo Fixer is great to erase unwanted people or signs from pictures, I also use it for creating word art. Picturesque is great to make pictures into paintings. Percolator is fun for artistic pics. I just found Yearbook Yourself if you want to play with putting old hairstyles on people.

For those who wonder what else to do with an iPad, I can't leave home without mine. I have an Apple TV also. So anything I see on the iPad I can show on the tv. I use it for work (email, calendar, to do lists), keep my grocery list that I can also see on my iPhone, watch Netflix, i buy season passes to tv shows through iTunes which I can view on the iPad, tv, or if I go to a friend's house that has an apple tv, show it on their tv. I do bills, budgets, landscape planning and home improvement visualizations. Play games, Skype with family overseas and when I'm on vacation. Home security and read books through the kindle app. I play with pictures, modifying and adding filter effects. I have an app for medical records so it is easier to talk to doctors showing history & trends. I am learning spanish on it too. There are great educational apps for people with children.

Bottom line... It slices, dices and juliennes!

So how did the experiments with ScrapPad go? I'm trying Photoshop Touch, but I just got my iPad this week and am still figuring stuff out.

I started digiscrapping on Coolibah. I loved the app, the support was wonderful, but I think life has gotten in the way of the upgrade promised so long ago. Right now I use iDraw and upload my kits to the cloud. I love my iPad and would not live without it.

Did you know you can use an app called Team Viewer to remotely control your computer so you can scrap using your usual software? It's slower and a little more finicky than at the desk, but easier in front of the TV.

I use my iPad as my alarm clock, and listen to white noise on it. It has my Babile and Jesus Calling apps so I do my Bible Study from it. I also love my app called Noteability which give me the ability to take notes with my stylus and copy verses from my Bible into so I can create my own "noted" version of the Bible as my pastor teaches it each week, which is what I really bought it for...

I've not tried to scrap on it but have to check out that "Team Viewer" app Addie mentioned... That would be nice but tough since I only use my iPad with WiFi but we will see!!!

and, of course, I have a bunch of games on it too!!!

I did try TeamViewer and for me that little delay drove be bonkers!!!
For scrapping on the Ipad I use a combo of PicFrame or PicStich and Phonto!!
Save those to my photo stream then use in PSE10.

Kind of sad to see that scrapping on the iPad hasn't improved much in a few years (check out the start date of this thread!). I wish it would...

I have an iPad, but it is really just a glorified game player/internet browsing tool. I actually got it for work and use it every day to help keep track of my students and their progress.

Other than that, I play games and like to view Pinterest from it.

Not sure I could ever justify buying my own if I had to return this one to work...
