I want to learn how to make background images using brushes to help create depth. I have no idea how. Is there a tutorial somewhere? Anyone have the patience to teach me? Help!
do you have any examples?!?!? I am not clear as to what you mean by depth??

Just in general. I see cool backgrounds all the time and people say, "I did it with brushes, just keep stamping them on" but mine don't turn out looking like anything I'd want to scrap with! LOL :)
Looks like we need a PSP beginner brushes tutorial!
Jenna, can you post a link to a specific layout you like so we know where to start?
Type F11 in PSP to open the brushes palette, adjust one jitter at a time to see what it does (the ones with * are for tablet/pen) and start painting.
Grunge brushes are fun, see if you can find a site with PSP brushes to download, I think the Jasc web site has a user exchange like Adobe does, or ask in the forums there.
Let's get a PSP brush link list going here, that'd be great!
Something to overcome the small size is to paint something on a new layer, then resize it larger. If it's a deatiled or high res brush it'll look fine. Stace has a neat trick for using masks to mimic large brushes.
The best thing is to post something specific you want to do or just start playing! Have fun!
