This is an easy enough challenge, regardless of your skill in the kitchen. Each month, I will provide a recipe that you must follow in creating your tasty treat. You may store your finished good in the DET Inspired Gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=4120) or any that you see fit. Regardless, you must post a link to it in this thread to be considered in the random draw for a page kit coupon. The recipes are easy enough to follow and will likely not require you to visit your local market, as I'm sure you will have all you need in your cupboards already!
So, who wants to bake??
The Rules:
-baked goods (LOs) must be new---from this date until the end of the month--no stale treats!
-the recipe must be followed--all ingredients must be used.
-all ingredients must be fresh (current designers only) and either from the DSP Store or the Designers own shelves (freebies, bonuses, etc.)
-unless otherwise listed, only the ingredients given can be used. Occasionally, the recipe may call for optional ingredients and such, but not always.
-links to your goodies must be posted in this thread before the deadline.
-deadline is midnight (DSP time) on the last day of the month
Easy enough, right?? If not, ask away!
This month's recipe:
- 3 (different) helpings of Background Papers
- a tablespoon of Flower(s) (as many as you like--no pre-made groupies)
- a dash of Brown coloring (something brown somewhere)
- a sprinkle of Button(s)
- a teaspoon of Journaling (atleast name and date)
- a cup of Word Art(not your own)
- 1 whole Frame
- a touch of Tag
- top it with a Bow
**This month, you may add either a helping of Quick Click or Overlay to the recipe but not both.
I let some goodies slide last month since it was our first go, but I won't be able to this tim---please, please check the rules and follow the recipe and don't make me be a meanie....I don't like it.
Your baked goods must be ready for tasting by midnight (DSP time) November 30th.
Bake as many as you like...each qualifying treat will be eligible for the randow draw.

Question: Is it within the rules to use a background paper as a photo matt (or use it as a background as well as create another element from it)
Marking my spot, I enjoyed this last month, thanks for the challenge!

Oh, yes Jill.
Your papers are versatile and can be used as papers, mats, etc. You just can not use them to create one of the other ingredients such as a tag or alpha.
You can use any of the ingredients more than once unless specifically told otherwise, but you must use them atleast the number of times called for. Make sense?
I also wanted to address the fact that the ingredients do not need to be from one Designer's shelf. I think there was some confusion there last time. If you normally bake with only one "brand", use this as an opportunity to mix it up a bit and try combining "brands". Or, if you are a mixer, try to challenge yourself to use only one "brand".

so one thing can't count as two ingredients? Like the BROWN has to be something other than one of the backgrounds or the bow?

Oh no.
I'm sorry if I'm confusing you guys!
Any of the ingredients can be your "brown" something---a brown flower, a brown paper, etc.
You just can't add something other than the ingredients. For instance, this month...you cannot add stars, cut from one of your BG papers or otherwise. BUT, if say the frame you are using has stars on it, then that is allowed even though stars are not one of this month's ingredients.
make sense??

So, are you allowed to make a tag from one paper, so long as you are still using 3 different papers other than the tag? Or does the tag need to be premade?

Sorry Addie...all the ingredients given must be from a DSP Designer....

All goodies baked for last month's challenge were included in the random draw.
I'm really sorry everyone---this challenge was so smoothe in my head!
This month, for the "something brown" ingredient, I will allow it to be anything since I did not specify. It can be one of the other ingredients---for instance, the Flower can be brwon---or anything else.
Here's the call I am going to make on the BG papers:
Papers can be cut/cropped in any way as long as they remain a paper (DET contestants may find that familiar! :D )
---you can make a paper mat, paper strips, paper etc. However, if you cut a paper to make a tag, and a tag is an ingredient, you are still required to use a DSP Designer tag on your goodie. All required ingredients must be from a current DSP Designer.
