I thought I would start a new thread so others can find it easier.

Everything was working fine in pse2, no new updates or anything. I didn't install anything or uninstall. No messing around, just a whole lot of scrapping happening.

The first time it happened was when I tried to save a file. It said that there was a program error and it couldn't do it. But it did save it. I had a few windows up and going - we were listening to a radio theatre mystery so real player was going. Firefox was open once. I also had acrobat open because I was working with a past tutorial, and then I had my pictures folder open. I did get an auto update of acrobat 7.0 in the last week or so. That's about all that's change in a while.

Now when I open pse2 and I open a file (png jpg or psd), I see the pic or graphic for a second and then it disappears. An error message says that because of a program error it can't open the file.

At the adobe site, there is a whole of stuff in a troubleshooting document. I was hoping someone here would know what I need to do. I've been thinking that it could be a conflict between the new reader - 7.0

Thanks,

Marcy :(

I have a vague feeling that someone else had this issue - it was you mentioning acrobat that prompted that memory - of course im no use as i cant find that post and i cant recall if it was resolved.
I know i had some programme errors in ps and it turned out to be zone alarm - the Adobe tech support guy had the gall to tell me that personal users didnt need a firewall and i should just uninstall it (???) which i havent done - but my error was on start up so now i just turn it off when i start up ps and Im fine - this isnt likely to help you as your issues isnt at start up -
Im not much good to you am I????
Try the tech support phone line- not much good but you MIGHT get something useful out of them.

Thanks, Lauren! My son suggested doing a system restore for 2 days ago since this just started yesterday. I may try it.

Thanks!
