Ok, this question may have been answered before, if so please direct to the correct thread.
I am brand new (less than a week) to photoshop and digital scrapbooking (I just got so sick of all the stuff and mess of regular scrapbooking).
Anyway, I've been looking in the shop and came across the custom fill chipboard alphabets. I'm just wondering how you would fill them in pse 9. And keep in mind, I'm new to photoshop, I've been able to figure a lot of things out by just clicking around but I have a hard time duplicating some of the things I've done!
Thanks!

Hi Queen, welcome to DSP. :)

First select all the white area of the alpha. Use the magic wand and click inside the white area, hold down ctrl if you need to select more than one area. To fill with a colour choose a colour with the colour picker then go to Edit>Fill Selection. To fill with a 'paper', select all the white, drag your paper above the alpha. Make sure the paper layer is active and hit ctrl+G, that will clip the paper layer to the alpha.

Ctrl D is the "deselect" command and works for any selection tool. Or you can just click. :) glad it worked.
