Every photo I use goes through one of the Topaz filters. The filters really have made my photos look 100% better.

I was so glad the upgrade was for free.

I watched the Webinar yesterday Jean. It looks like some cool new features in TA5. I downloaded it but haven't installed it yet.

Hi everyone. What do you all think about having to download at 300ppi? I guess my only worry is about how much computer space it will take up, and perhaps slow things up when using the kits. But I've never used 300ppi so I really won't know until I try.

You can resize if you are worried about disk space Bett. - 200 is absolutely fine to print. but hard drive space isnt as expensive as it used to be thankfully.

I spent this afternoon making up some jewellery to sell at a fair in teh weekend - Ive only made a few just to see how they go - here are some of them

I think my favourite of this lot is the waterlily - and I only made one of those!!- I really didnt think that one would look as good as it does

btw weve booked for the crop in AUckland in March - i will post in the crop thread - we are doing a budget approach - well - because thats all I can afford ...
So it will be the weekend of March 3/4 - we will photowalk on the saturday - hopefully we will have a chauffeur driven van for the purpose - adn we will do the gannet colony and wineries along with some other photographic sights .
Then the crop will be 9 -5 on Sunday at the geneaology society rooms in panmure.
Accommodation I will discuss on the thread - but the Ellerslie motor inn has been recommended as reasonable and does a nice breakfast ( which is the only issue that we have with fernz.
Alternatively you all coudl stay at fernz and we could go out for breakfast before the crop.
The crop price will include the photowalk and lunch on the crop day which i will get catered. ( or cater myself) - I will work out a cost over the next day or so

The"crop" will be Photoshop classes. It will be structured so that those who want to take classes will suit together and those who just want to scrap can do their own thing.
I'll tailor the classes to the requirements of those coming.

It doesn't really bother me. But, I keep flipping back and forth between the two, so I am already a mix and match gal. I may have to get a second ehd at some point, but I we will see. It will make it easier for publications. Some of the submission calls specifically ask for things in 300 dpi, and then I have to figure out how to resize them.

Sad day in Christchurch today - we're off to the Memorial in the park at noon. For those who don't know, it's one year today that we had the big earthquake in which 185 people died.
Oh, and I'm also sad because the only one of my three daughters who still lives in New Zealand, left Christchurch yesterday to live a six hour drive away in Motueka ... sigh ... sob ...

Just as a matter of interest - who would be interested in learning about painting in photoshop using the Mixer brush tools - ( Came in CS5) - Ive toyed with writing a class but would need to know how many would be interested in taking it .

well... you could download and install the trial if you wanted to play along - to get the best out of the mixer brushes you also need a tablet
To teach how to use them properrly would take all day so Im just going to give a brief intro ... - they can be fun to play with

thanks! I can't take credit for the design though. It was a lift for April spotlight... which was originally based on a sketch by Talktopam. (rotated). It is interesting to see how a sketch changes and how different kits will give a whole new look to a lift too.

I am so frustrated! I tried to get into the chatroom tonight (in the mountains) from 8:40 PM until 10:10 PM DSP time and got there 2 mins after everyone logged out at 10:10. The chatroom would load part way, then hang. Then I would get to the point of actually clicking on the chatroom to get in, and it said "Loading resources. Please be patient for the initial loading. It will speed up next time." Geez. I sure hope so. UGH....

OMG - I just counted up my layouts completed this year, and I have uploaded 143. Lauren has designed almost that many products..........and I'm sure many layouts as well. That's amazing Lauren!!!!!
