Art Journaling Chatter

I am so very excited DSP has started an art journaling gallery and forum. I have just started expressing myself with art journal pages. They fill a void for me that "documentary" Scrapping didn't fill -- I still do my traditional pages, but sometimes I just want to play with ideas, images or my program. Sometimes it is serious, sometime self-reflective, and sometimes just silly.

I have found my extensive stash of elements is really coming in handy with these pages.

I can't wait to hear/see what other DSP scrappers are doing with this style.

I just uploaded one I did yesterday, I swear it took longer to do the credits than it did for the layout. Well maybe not, but it sure was fun revisiting a lot of my stash to find bits I was looking for.

I had no idea where to start so I just moved things around until I liked it. I like the look of real art journals so I am going to use the open book in the Art Journey kit as the base for my pages and print at 7x5

It was the first day of spring and Hannah phoned to chat... she said 'its raining', it's always raining in my hometown where she lives now... made me think of this kit so I decided to play with art journal. I have given myself permission to do whatever I want with this including making a mess... I love the freedom of not worrying about design and tweaking and all the other proper scrapping... Hannah liked it anyway and she knew right away what it was about. :D
