I have been suffering with SEVERE scrappers block for a good while - decided to work through some tutorials to hopefully get some creative juices flowing again! This I so enjoyed doing, a new one from my favourite myjaynee.com

Thank goodness for scrappers block. That would be beautiful to use in a birth announcement or wedding photo or something similar. Gorgeous. I'm going to play in DIP and see if I can come up with something like it.

This is my attempt at this effect. Even after looking at the tutorial I was still lost... I should have taken a que from the note that it is for intermediate users... which is not me. However, this is what I came up with... a bit rough around the edges. :o

Does anyone else have an easier tutorial? I love this effect and would like to learn how to really accomplish it.
Thanks!

I just saw a tutorial in a magazine using the impressionst brush in Photoshop, but I can't find it. Does anyway know about this brush?

Look under tool presets (upper left corner of photoshop screen), press the little arrow for drop down tool presets and scroll down till you find the Art History Brush tool presets, it is one of those.

I'm with Meryl on this one ... that myjanee site is awesome - I followed that porcelain tutorial too and although I got a bit mixed up on one part (I finally just skipped that step entirely), this is what I came up with: http://tinyurl.com/ct4gr
I highly recommend that site for tuts - I've done several tuts from there and find them very straightforward and easily understandable.

Thanks for sharing! I'd forgotten all about her! When I learned to do this I was going to try some of her tuts! I guess it's time!
