View Full Version : Inspiration Gallery Challenge
Have you seen the Inspiration Gallery at DSP (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=541)?
Check it out, and let's have a layout challenge!
Visit the inspiration gallery, and choose anything in there (let's exclude the sketches to encourage some other formats). So there's an Art gallery, Ads, Logos, and Christian. Choose a piece and create a layout using it. Post a link in here so we can all go look. After the challenge ends, the person who's made the most layouts using stuff from the gallery will win a great prize! And I'll even throw in some runner up prizes if it's a close call!
So go for it. Create layouts, add your own pieces to the gallery if you'd like. Let's expand this as a great resource for scrapping and chats.
Please post layouts in the Contests & Challenges>Inspirational Crops gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=617). Thanks! Let's see those inspired layouts!

Remember, please post to the Contest & Challenges>Inspirational Crops gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=617) so I can find it, and post a link in this thread. Thanks!

Do the sketches count in the contest then? At any rate here is mine. It inspired me to scrap a memory instead of an event, do you know what I mean? I scrapped about how my son loves to be outdoors instead of a birthday or something. I need to do more of that!

Beautiful job, everyone! Sketches count, but I am "encouraging" using the other inspiration pieces 'cause sketches are already so popular.
Keep it up! I extended the deadline for the challenge to who knows? Keep posting, and we'll figure out when to end this thing :)
And feel FREE to post your own pieces to the gallery. I just nabbed all these off the web, scanned, and photographed. Go for it! Would love to see that gallery grow and be a great resource in future chats and challenges.

I've only just discovered the 'inspiration gallery'. Fantastic!!
I've just uploaded a layout done with one of the ads (think it's a Japanese CD cover).

And another (I think my paper scrapping is suffering since I discovered digital LOL).
This was using the "Ocean Waves" paint colour chip in the inspiration gallery. I've used the dropper to duplicate the colours.

I've just discovered this thread today and I can't see a deadline anywhere ...
This has happened several times. I see a challenge or contest I might dare! to try but can never tell if the contest/challenge has ended yet or not?
Is there something I'm missing??
Thanks Kim :o
This challenge has no deadline yet. It's a slow one, so we're giving people PLENTY of time!
the good thing about challenges is you can do them anytime. Even after the deadline, just do it and post in the thread that you made an "after hours" one ;) The challenges are to give ideas, inspire, motivate. If you find one that does that, who cares about the when part? Sometimes part of the motivation is a deadline or a prize, but we don't always need that :)
Have fun! Post a link here when you complete your layout, we'd love to see which piece you used!

I used the paint chip - Veggie Blend - for this Layout.

I saw the colors and immediately thought of this photo. I have wanted to do something with it for a while - still not sure if I am completely happy with it. But I had fun with it.

Here's another one from the paint chip - muted blossoms.

Please post a link to the layout in this thread. Have fun!

Thanks Kim :oThe contests and challenges are listed on th home page, about 3/4 of the way down. If the challenge poster is vigilant about adding it to that list, it'll be there, with a link and close date. Have fun!
Feel free to upload a few special paper layouts to the Misc Inspiration Gallery too, titled Paper Inspiration or something to show up in the gallery:

They'll be great for this challenge, and for Jewel's paper scraplifting challenge too. Thanks!
I MADE ONE, I MADE ONE!!! Yay! I loved this stencil piece, and I've been wanting to make a Sassy layout for a long time with these photos. The big S was perfect for it, even the red matched!

I used another inspiration piece today - the Michigan Hospice one.
My goal is to use at least two pieces from the gallery each week.
