Jagged or torn edges

I am working on a layout that I need torn/jagged edges. txminix sent me a tutorial about the jagged edges last night.

I have searched the tutorials this morning for jagged or torn edges and I cannot find either listed anywhere. I know it is there but I sure can't find it.
Where are the listed?

I used the lasso tool to make jagged edges and was successful with that.
But now, I can't get my lasso tool to go away. I also can't get the dodge tool to do anything. In fact, the only thing that is happening now, is the lasso tool keeps moving around the jagged edge.

I am signed up to start the DSU class this week, but I need to get this project done before that.

I would appreciate any help!!!!

Most likely you still have something selected. Try doing a deselect, with PSE it's ctrl + d, probably the same thing with PS too. IF that doesn't work, save your work, shut down the problem and re-start the program. I sometimes have the same problem.
